Just act like you don't know shit, that's how I beat my friends. Oh, but you've played them already right...

First of all, are you playing cash game or tournament style? It really does make a difference. You say your friends are a mix of passive and aggressive, but you didn't mention if they were solid or not. Are they bad where they would be willing to go allin with any top pair? If you're playing cash game and your friends aren't very solid, I would limp/call to hit a set and stack someone when I hit a set. In middle position, I would raise unless the majority of your aggressive friends are to your left, or you have a tell that someone likes their hand. If the pot has been raised I flat call to hit a set. Late position is the same as middle position except I will always raise with it if the pot is unopened. If you're playing a tournament style, how many big blinds do you start with? If it's 75 like most online rooms or less, I would fold from early position when the blinds are low, assuming you raise the blinds after a certain point. You probably shouldn't raise your mid pps ever when there's an aggressive guy to your left, because he might just spew your equity by going crazy. I will, however, boss around passive players.

Or make a big raise in late position and hope everyone folds or it's 1v1. Probably fold early raises. Esp if it's one of the lower middle pairs. Definitely fold to reraises unless you have a read.

Call any standard raise just to flop a set 18% chance. Don't call any re-raised or highraised pots preflop though. Sounds like you have a really action table where 4+ people are in every hand preflop, if that's the case be careful even if you make an overpair on a raggedy board.
