So I basically learned about rolling admissions, basically first come first serve when applying to colleges? Is there anybody that is at schools because of this? Are the schools decent?

I don't think it has that large of an effect on where you get in. Schools have such a large number of applicants that their applicant pools are relatively constant over time, and they know what kinds of applicants they're going to take and what kinds they're not. Even if you're riding the "line", they just hold on to your application a bit longer to see what the year is going to bring them, and then let you know.

in my experience rolling admissions is used by medical, law, and graduate school more frequently than undergraduate. generally schools that use rolling admission have a large number of applicants, so that may correlate to scholastic aptitude, but again this applies more to graduate programs.

It doesn't necessarily mean first come, first serve (at least not how I understand it.) It just means they immediately notify you as soon as they go over your application whether or not you're accepted. I guess you may have a higher chance of getting in the earlier you apply but at the same time if you apply late they may realize they still have many spots to fill and accept someone they would've reject earlier in the application season.

rolling admissions means they process applications as they get them. other schools accept apps until a certain date and then process them all at once.

with rolling, the earlier you get your app in the better, because the faster you get your app in the smaller your competitive pool will be and more likely you will be accepted.

Well, what Jonoman92 said is true except schools in general do a pretty good job (because the numbers are so big that they know what to expect), so they don't usually find themselves in those two situations... partially because they take as long as they need to to tell you whether you're in.
Regardless, I'd advise applying early because the earlier you know whether you're in somewhere, the more time you have for SC
