You breathe with your lungs and it doesn't matter how you turn your head, you still get oxygen in both of them. If you've ever done competitive swimming you're using your full lung capacity all the time. It's not as if he should be breathing every two strokes during the entire practice, every practice, anyway. This actually sounds like some serious health problem or deformity if it's true and I think he should see a doctor. | ||

Doing sports asymmetrically can definitely lead to your muscles being a different size, it would be very gradual and it shouldn't hurt... go get it checked out. | ||
