An unexpected shock

Today I have just received one of the most shocking news at school. This will probably remain as a shock for the coming days until I picture this in reality. So I am in the IB programme and the main talk those days in school is about the predicted grades. All of the IB students were waiting for the teachers to hand in their predicted grades to the IB coordinator which will eventually make them available to us.

Today at period 2, we were told we can pick them up at the end of the day. I wasn't nervous, I calculated my self either a 34 or 35 based on my personal opinion. The end of day came pretty fast, people went in the room to get their predicted grades and there were some happy and other sad faces. So I walked slowly towards the room, and asked our IB coordinator for my grades... He pulled out 2 papers and said here you go, I looked at it and went O.O!!!! I was Predicted A 38!!!! WOAH!! WTH, I went into a Sjhsafoasf moment not being able to grasp what happened. But then I saw it a gain clearly, 38!! I became filled with joy, this is a real accomplishment for me. I didn't expect anything like this, seriously what an unexpected shock!!

Its good and all but I still have a couple of things to fix. Worst case after tomoro I'm still a 34. Best case I'll rise to a 36

Same here... but I don't understand the predicted either. If it's predicted doesn't that mean the mark isn't real and its only a mock exam of sorts?

or i'm a nooby and dunno what i'm talking about ~~;

Its 38 out of 45 possible points

24 is a passing grade so 30+ is considered by most people as a good grade.

As for your comment on predicted grades, these are the grades that are sent in college applications and other stuff. The actual grades later will be compared to these grades though.

We're all supposed to know what "IB programme" and 38 points mean, right? Poor storytelling, no punchline, no potential for discussion, zero entertainment, no insights, 2/5.

I'm actually happy with a 34. It's just that many colleges I'm applying to look at the individual grades of subjects.

Many of them need a 6, 5, and 5 in my higher level subjects (out of 7 for each)

My higher level subjects are 5, 5, and 5
I'm planning to ask the teacher if I have potential to get a 6 in one of them so he can move me up

Yeah I laughed when someone explained that to me. Grade inflation really is happening everywhere isn't it? =p

My HLs are Business and Management, Arabic A1, and English A2 as for the SLs Math, Environmental systems, and ITGS.
