First off im sure everyone will be happy to know Carano did beat the scale-141 pounds on the button. Shes slimmer and sexier then ever.
It took her 3 times and no clothes, but hey, she got there.
Not without adventures tho!
I do feel its odd that its the guys that hold the tower. Lucky them!
Scary thought: Christiane Cyborg is fighting at 148. Why scary? She is fucking ripped!
as per this weight in video(not a current one):

Shammy barely made it to HW with 206 pounds to Kimbos 234. As always with Kenny there was a show when he got into altercation with Kimbo.
Look at that hero in the middle! I'm sure hed take em both on if shit broke loose!
Arlovski, as always, a specimen, at 240.
Heres a great GIF of him destroying Rothwell:
Ninja's gonna steal Radach's soul!:
Dont miss it. The TV broadcast portion will start at 9:00pm EST. I am not sure if undercard will be broadcasted on elitexc.com like it was last time.
The future starts off with Exite XC on CBS- a national network, a show which quiet possibly will set yet another record for most watched MMA event ever- in just 3 days.
And this time around, it is good.
The opener is Alexander Shlemenko(21-3) against Robert McDaniel(11-4). Both fighters are relatively unknown, but with a nice record and a Russian nationality stamp in passport, i will bet my house that Alex is an exciting fighter. McDaniel too, has some legitimacy to his name- as such he has a victory against Kala Hose, who if you remember has beat down Phil Baroni not too long ago. MMA math of sorts. This is probably not something newcomers to MMA will enjoy, but for us ol' folks sure a good fight to scout out new talent.
First of the two catfights is the next exciting match- its Yoko Takahashi(13-9) against Christiane Cyborg(5-1). Im not sure if Yoko Takahashi is the same Yoko that recorded tracks for Neo Genesis Evangelion, but dont let her record fool you. She is legit. She has fought were the competition is the toughest in women MMA- Japan of course. Cyborg on the other hand is quiet possibly the best female(?) MMA fighter on the planet.
Christiane Highlight
Up next- Murilo Ninja Rua. Oh man, whenever anybody says "Hua" i just lose it! There was a thread on Teamliquid about who would you go gay for. And it my case its probably the Rua brothers. Guys just dont know how a fight can possibly be boring. Put them against Arlovski circa Tim Sylvia matches, they would still be able to make it exciting. His opponent - Benji Radach(18-4).

Gina Carano(6-0) starts off the main portion of the card against Kelly Kobald(16-2-1). Finally theyre throwing the moneymaking pretty face of Carano into the lions den. However i expect the greatest fight to be fought on Friday, when Carano will have to face off with the scales.
Man is she hot for a chick who cant cut to 140! Mhmm!
Guess its the breasts that add the weight!
Kelly Kobold:
Cute:
Nice guns, lady
Whats that? Whats that? Oh its the fight of the day! Its Andrei Arlovski(13-5-0) taking on Roy Nelson(13-2). Andrei is looking to solidify his image as exciting fighter, after dropping his boring counterpunching style. Besides rumor has it the winner of this match gets one of the Emelianenko bros on the next Affliction card(Alex-Andrei and Fedor-Josh would make most sense). Roy Nelson is a legit HW no doubt, but he already dropped a fight to Ben Rothwell who the Pitbull demolished in his last match in Wanderlei Silvaesque style.
Now Arlovski is apparently on a lend from Affliction, which has just signed a contract with GoldenBoy promotions. Quiet frankly, UFC are already in the dust. An CBS-EXC-Affliction-GoldenBoy collaboration? They would be more powerful then UFC even if they didnt have any fighters. Thats my opinion of course, and i will catch up on the rumors when ill write about the upcoming Affliction card, if i ever get to it.
Jake Shields vs Paul Daley(17-6-2). Jake Shield is awesome. Paul is not bad i guess. But give us fucking Fikkett, how long can we wait!
The main event will put a smile on anybodys face- its Kimbo Slice Ferguson against Ken Shamrock. Many MMA fans criticize this match and involvement of both this men in the sport, but i like it and i like the match up. I dont care about Kimbos ethics- he is a nice dude, very nice considering his upbringing, and the match up of internets most famous figher against Ken Shamrock with his greek-god physique and an ex-prowrestling background is bound to pull some fans.
Roids ofc, but still!
UFC 89: October 18th
First interesting match is David Baron(16-2) vs Jim Miller(11-1). The former is a Pride and Shooto fighter who has a victory over Hayato Sakurai(!!!). The latter just has a nice record and a win over Bart Palaszewski, whos in my opinion a gatekeeper to gatekeeper to being a decent lightweight. Not THAT exciting, but any man that beats Sakurai deserves a looksee in my book.
David Baron vs Hayato Sakurai
The next notable match should excite all Pride fans- its Akihiro Gono(27-12-7), pure awesomeness impersonated. I have no idea whats wrong with UFC putting him on undercard, and i hope they will do anything and everything possible to allow him his trademark entrance. To the newcomers to MMA world- this man's record doesnt do him justice. He is definetely a force in the welterweight division. He has defeated Dream MW GP champion Gegard Mousasi and has went to 9 minute mark against Shogun before being soccer kicked to death. His opponent is Dan Hardy, completely unremarkable fighter.
Gono vs Mousasi
Main card starts off with a couple of matches that fail to catch my interest but shifts into gear soon enough. Sokoudjou gets another rebound match before being thrown to the wolfs again- against Luis Cane(8-1-1, only loss by DQ). This match means a lot to both fighters, Cane is yet to prove that he's legit, and Sokoudjou absolutely has to win to prove that he is indeed not a fluke but a force to reckon with.
Jardine vs Brandon Vera is next on the list and its another match were a lot is at stake for both fighters. Jardine's latest performances have been a mess, a mix of wins and losses against top opponents, and there is no doubt he wants to find his place in the division. For Vera this is his second fight at LHW, and it will break him or establish him as a legit LHW contender. Vera unfortunately, much like Jardine, never found his position in the fight world. But this time it isnt his fault, UFC 1-fight-a-year policy just never gave him the chance.
The main even is rather lackluster- its Michael Bisping vs Chris Leben. Michael is in my opinion a quality fighter, in a weak division with a tiny-slim bottleneck in Anderson Silva. Leben on the other hand is a crappy fighter capable of providing an exciting brawl. Will be exciting match if Leben can defend, but Bisping will easily take it which i hope sets him up with a match against Henderson.
