Since my brother installed something called ubuntu, the computers been screwed up, he said you're supose to be able to change from ubuntu and windows but there was lack of memory or something so we can't change it back. And on ubuntu, the internet doesn't work, even though we use wireless so no battlenet. Today though,I went to a friend of mine and I got to play the glorious sc game. His monitor is literally like 20+ inches so its sorta hard to play on, but playing sc was cool. Maybe it was the monitor being big so I didn't play real well but I didn't feel that love for the game, although I still watch vods alot, alot of people here just watch games and not actually play right? I didn't win a single game but it was cool, I still love the game. Maybe I gotta wait till I get the computer fixed or w/e till I start to play the game more. Also, I got contacts recently so I'm trying to not play as much to keep my vision from getting worse

ubuntu is a distro of linux... SC was made only for Windows and Mac. I'm not sure if SC works under Wine

Starcraft should be playable in Wine (Wine is a great Windows-emulator). And as far as your wireless internet problems on Ubuntu, you need to get drivers for your wireless card that are compatible with Linux.

Ubuntu is an OS, like Windows/Mac OSX. Like blabber mentioned, you could try Wine (Windows Emulator) which basically mimics Windows while you're on Ubuntu. Dunno how successful you will be though.

I gave the computer so he could look at it, its almost been 2 weeks, hopefully he's fixed it by now.

anything above 19" is too big for sc imo. Stretches it too much and makes it look ugly.

I think it looks good on my 22" widescreen but whenever one of my friends sees me playing on it they think it looks weird.

Sounds like a grub problem.
Starcraft (and other blizzard games) does run just fine under wine (what a rhyme! under my distro at least); i don't know whether icc or battlenet works tho.
As for wireless, there is this ndiswrapper thing for wireless cards. if you want to figure it out, then the ubuntu forums are the way to go. It's been a while since I dealt with it >_>

As for gaming... I only watch VODs, and recently only recommended ones, unfortunately. Or Midas' games.
