So today was suppose to be a good day, go play some ball with the church youth group and another youth group. It was all good, then my youth pastor comes to play with us and we play church vs church for fun. We get killed and I keep making turnovers for some reason which didnt happen over the past games. I start cussing because I was playing really crappy not loudly but I guess loud enough for him to hear. At the end of the game, (we end up losing) he comes up to me and the conversation goes like this. A stands for the youth pastor B stands for what I said
A: What was up with you cussing? B: I didn't cuss (I lied, it was just a reflex) A: Just be honest... B: ... Well you were giving me those looks when I screwed up so I thought you got mad which made me more pissed off at myself. And I wasn't cussing at you or anything, it was all on me. A: It's just a game, why do you get so pissed? I wanted to say that not everybody has the same mind as you but I just said nothing. Then for some reason he flips out, take his shoe off, throws them and just walks out. I walk out later and then he calls a friend and gives the phone to me. He was saying stuff like, "You gonna stay rude?" but I didn't say anything, then he just hung up or something, there was bad connection. It's weird because we're really cool and he's all relaxed but then he got all pissed at something so small imo. I've never fought with anybody really outside family and I still cant really believe this happened.

The truth will set you free.
Now go apologize for being rude. ^^

...I think your pastor is overreacting. Of course it was your fault to start with for the bad sportsmanship and not controlling yourself. Still, I think all the pastor needed to do was simply talk it out with you. As a basketball player I know that it gets really frustrating sometimes when you are playing badly, but learning how control that is a huge step towards becoming a better player. Well, seems like there's not much you can do - go apologize!

Lol at my youth group my pastor hasn;t heard me swore. I always thought that if he did It wouldn't matter, eh wouldn't make a deal out of it. But reading about this. I'm afraid to speak!

wow never heard of a pastor getting mad... over cussing. well he overreacted imo, guess just apologize to him and not try to cus.

just tell him that swearing helps you vent anger
it sounds like the pastor is being a shithead not you

I've had the same experience with many pastors. =/ They don't care if you do one thing but they'll go apeshit if you do another. I kinda see it in all kinds of people. I wouldn't say the Religion per say is screwed up. You will always find a bad apple amongst the good ones.

Seems like he's the one with a problem...
If I were you I'd just forget about the whole thing. If it turns out to be some type of weird political issue (more than just him), then stop going there.
edit: It might be that he got all bent out of shape because you were playing another church. People get weird in those type of competitive environments, and sometimes feel personally threatened by small things.

the whole situation sounds retarded lol
edit: not trying to be insulting or anything but it nothing there seems like a big deal at all;p

That very much made my day and I would've say the same. Now for a snide comment: consider atheism?
