So I'm gonna go up there for a couple of days, is there anything fun? And is there a cheap shoe store, or vendors?

around 32nd street and fifth I think? (and the surrounding area)

and I don't know what stuff is good there really, I've walked through a few times and gone with a friend to buy stuff in the korean supermarket there but that's it.

Nothing exceptional, though some argue that the food there is above average for price. Though for cheap stuff, nothing is about to beat Chinatown/Flushing.

Manhattan in general, even in terms of areas like Chinatown, really have jacked up prices overall. That simply can't be helped. Flushing, as another large community of Asians (Chinese and Korean), tends to have pretty competitive pricing for most goods. Personally given the chance (or rather, the time) I'd do most of my shopping of grocery goods and such in Flushing, but it is pretty far removed from the rest of the City, and as I am stuck either at Staten Island or upper West side, not much of an option for me.

As for food...eh, Manhattan is full of gems for quality and cheapness, just that to discover those gems you have to go through a ton of crappier places that overcharges. Koreatown isn't particularly my thing, so stuff I know about it are mostly by hearsay.

from what i've heard of from my friend that attends columbia, NYC's ktown isn't worth your time. it's like 1 street.

i like eating kalbi but it costs way more than its worth imo
i like the jja jang myun at shanghai mong

theres really not that much besides shoes
if u want to buy stuff, chinatown is alot better on deals although they do sell alot of bootleg stuff
and also soho is right around chinatown so thats nice
