I have a microsoft wireless USB optical mouse. I dont think the kind of mouse matters, but the problem is that randomly my mouse stopped working completly. When i go to my mouse settings, and then go to the hardware tab, i can see that my mouse is connected. But when i go to my mouse tab to select an input device it is not there. I have done everything that I could think of, I did trouble shooter, and microsoft forums, and enabled and re-enabled the mouse, changed the mouses wireless channel, reconected it like 5 times. No mater what i do i cant fix it, i also tried to call microsoft for some support but the place o called isnt open atm. Anyone have any ideas??

A Device Driver is basically a program that tells your computer how to interact with the device (in this case, how to interpret information from your mouse).

I'm no tech expert, but if it is a driver problem I'd advise going to the MS Website and downloading and installing the most recent driver for your mouse.
