Shit! Okay, 25 days left before I ship off and officially become a property of the US Army. Been waiting for this day to come since last October, not a day went by without thinking that I will be in the Army. In 25 days, I will decide if I made the best decision in my life or my worst decision. I love this right now. I am done with school and every day I could work out freely. I woke up an hour ago, and my arms are so sore I can't raise my hands to shampoo my hair and gave up on that. I love this.
And of course I had to ask, anyone out there joining the military? Post up!

Either you will be suited for it or you won't. It seems like you are but time will tell. I'm glad you seem more excited than nervous.

how could it be interpreted as advice? i guess just as much as saying "either you'll stay in the army or you won't lol!"

Well I hope you will enjoy it. I know about 10-12 people that are/were in the military and I think out of those 10-12 people only about 2-3 really enjoy it. I believe 3 of them were discharged because either of an injury(not sure if self inflicted) or causing a scene in Korea that led to being discharged. The others that are still active have a passion of hate for the military.
The way you speak thou seems as you might enjoy it.

Possibly the worst decision of your life considering the likelihood of your deployment opportunities (think "freedom fighters," sand storms, and AK-47's).
I have 60 days to get out of the military and after 6 years of service, I can't wait to be a normal person again. I am being offered 70,000$ to re-enlist and I won't.
I have spent 2 of my years in the service in training and another 2 living in Sicily, Italy (on a permanent vacation basically). The other 2 years I've spent on deployment pretty much. In all respects, I should be generally happy with my service - I've had it "easy" compared to most people - and WANT to re-enlist, but that's just not the case.
This should speak volumes about the quality of life in the military.

Oh Canada has an army too ? Is it like the austrian army? It distracts the enemy forces unitl a real army turns up to defend them .
Just kidding
obviously...
EDIT: Btw in germany some of us have to go to the army for nine month. A friend of mine wanted to get out and thought pulling the psycho card would be a great idea. So he kept asking his officer about the weapons and when they would get them about 20 times a day. Well the day everyone got his H&K G36 he got a wooden rifle and would never touch any working weapon for the last part of the nine month.

Kennigit will fuck you up, boi.

pffff ... three years of army are nothing compared to 9 month of my "zivi time"

I was talking more of a verbal up-fucking.

oh ok let the games begin then ...

I don't acknowledge the existence of any game that doesn't involve zerglings or a puck.

ok erm ... pvz is my best mu but I m not very active right now. So let's play a game with a puck.
or let's "rambul" it out. Dont know if there is an english word for it. It means we kick each other where it hurts until someone goes down. I begin!

The way we play that game over here, whoever declares the game has to receive first. You ready?
