Bowling Season Complete

Well, today was the last week. I quit making posts a couple of weeks ago because they were getting monotonous, and because I missed a few weeks of bowling for various reasons. At the start of today we were in fourth place in the league (of ~10-14 teams). We won either 7/11 or 8/11 points today, which apparently was JUST enough to push us into third place. As a result, my partner and I each got $250. Compare this to the first place team: they were given 900 dollars to divide up equally; they each get 300 for first place whereas we got 250 for third :D. Having a vacant can have its advantages. Next season starts in a few weeks. Maybe my average won't suck (I actually don't know what my final average for the season is, but it's probably in the 160s or 170s :-/)

wow micro I had no idea you got money for leagues like that, thats pretty cool. I'm guessing there's an entrance fee for like $20 per person on the team or something?

So the other teams have 3 people but yours only has 2, You guys bowl extra games or something?

Woot your bowling blog is back. 250 bucks per person isn't too bad for 10-14 teams. Especially for third place team. Your lineage and all must be pretty low to recieve that much or you paid like 30 bucks a week. But I bowled like shit the last two weeks. Bowling 481 and 548 off a 192 avg.

481 yikes haha. It was 17/wk. We had a 'vacant' as the third bowler Jonoman92. Basically, it hurts us a tiny bit in the handicapped competition, but mostly it just balances out the difference of players.

Hah, yeah forgot that you didn't have a third. That makes a pretty big difference in how much money you get. Being able to spilt the money 2 ways instead of 3 is pretty good. Although you had to pay for the vacant I'm sure.

No, we each paid the regular 17/wk :D
I'm not sure how much that hurts our handicap each game though, having a vacant that is.

I thought usbc rules stated that you had to pay for a vacant on the team? Oh well guess they just adjust the prize fund accordingly.
