I don't really play a whole lot of people I don't know, but I'd imagine the next >>

big terran might be Casper or... this guy from South America that was in Media but got kicked, and I'll type his ID if I can remember it later.

big zerg might be Maix or Machine. There's others, but none of them are really active, so I'm not sure.

big protoss... god who knows. There's really just too many foreigner protoss so I can't answer this, because I haven't a clue.

Most idolized player outside of Korea would have to be Advokate. I hate saying this because I know it's somehow going to get back to him, but his TvP/TvT were always, in my mind, the best outside of Korea. I don't know how this image of him evolved in my mind, but I guess I saw replays of him when I was a newbie back in 2005 or something and was very impressed, which I rarely am. Luckily I've had the chance to play him a few times, won a couple, lost more, even cussed him out and called him a newbie a few times, lmao.

Next big protoss is cloud! Its true there are alot of others but none are really showing as much potential as cloud. And being picked for ToT will only help. Another might be drieven if you dont consider him big already.

Do you think IdrA will ever achieve the same or higher level of play testie accomplished in his career? Or do you perhaps think he already has?

Testie achieved a lot, but he started negative because of the shit he did when he was younger (to be fair). But I would say he's still at a far higher lvl than IdrA right now because IdrA hasn't done any LANs successfully. However, IdrA is VERY CLOSE to the skill level of Testie, if not the same level, so it's really up to him to get out of his shell and become what he wants to become. I think going to Korea is his first big step, and I do think he could make it in Korea, at least as much as a foreigner can without speaking Korean and being able to form necessary relationships, etc. He's extremely strong minded and if he wants it bad enough and eStro gives him the opportunities, he'll make all he can of them.

Is micromedia ever going to be a true competitive team in the leagues or is the inactivity of some of the players and loss of idra affected media too much ?

Yes to the first question -- just give us a year to organize and get everything ready. What you see now is nothing... it's 10 minutes of effort spent a month (edit: except for Ascension -- GeNThO/Artosis spend a good amount on that). Everything that's being done isn't public yet -- well, except Ascension, which is also a very small piece, but a great one.

Losing IdrA wasn't even a scratch... everyone on the team could quit and none of us would blink twice. I've always told him he's welcome to leave at any time if he's offered money. I would have laughed at him for being stupid if he didn't go for how much he was offered. What you think about this situation isn't actually what is, but that's for later.

I shouldn't say this because I only started BW in early 04 and I don't know the players from before then, but if we keep it in that context, Assem, IdrA and Froz.

how was your games against him(yellow) ? the rep pack does not have it...

I don't save replays ever... I couldn't tell you how many tournaments I've been kicked from for not having replays.

There's no replays of me vs YellOw (horrible games -- died to muta after I fell apart with marine micro), we agreed not to save any before the games; I got the better side of that deal, as I knew I would. LOL.

I don't know, I consider Cloud and Drieven top guys already, as far as active people go.

Dang I thought testie would be there instead of idra but I'm guessing u know idra better and becuz testie doesn't play much anymore(?) Oh well it's ur opinion so whatever.

Anyway my question is u played since 04 meaning you've only been playing for about 3 years. How did u get so good in such a short amount of time? I just need some sort of idea as to how top forgienrs did to become top foreigners becuz they wre all noobs like us at one point and hopefully i can use your answer as a guide to hopefully become decent.

And did u ever at any time jsut mass game from the moment u woke up all day over and over even when u were tired at the ladders like pgt or wgt?
We have competitive ladder, strong community, progaming in Korea going strong, perfectly balanced game..why do we need sc2? #1 ANTI-SC2 fan

I couldn't explain all the things I'd like to in a single post (hopefully I'll get to write more about certain aspects that most don't understand/apply later on), but the main thing is to try harder than you've ever tried; When you've played 10 games, your stress level is about to knock you out, your hands hurt horribly from trying so hard to do everything and not quite doing it (or not even coming close), that you simply want to sleep, but you feel satisfied you gave it your fucking all -- I think in that situation you're on track to improve fast.

But even with the above, there's a ton of other shit you have to make sure you're doing correctly before you start training, or you'll learn bad ways and have to work out of them which will waste time (hotkeys are a big one).

The other most important thing I can say without writing a novel is to watch progamer replays of your race in fastest, and go play right after when you feel like you can play like that pro just did. It will get you to copy what you just saw, and in copying you'll learn great amounts. Anything above fastest isn't good enough. You just have to bear through the normal speed, and THINK about it, don't just watch it. Write things down that are important to you so you remember (there's science to this -- school teachers weren't lying..... entirely).

And I never mass gamed at any time except for 06 when I was high up in some PGTour season. Only time I've ever played more than 20 games a week, but honestly it's not so bad because even if I had played 100 a week like some, most of the games are vs players below you, which isn't half as helpful.

Talent is meaningless without hard work, but of course it would be nice to be born with a mind that can learn faster than your competition.
