The lane conditions were similar to yesterday, and as a result I fine overall. There were only two things giving me a hard time today: the 10 pin when it was on the even lane (right side of ball return) and the 2-8-10 split.
My scores: 180, 184, 169 (unusually consistent for me)
Game 1: I saw the 2-8-10 split like 3 times for some reason. Other than that, I had no opens.
Game 2: This game started with a 4-7. Somehow, despite my hook, I managed to clip the 7 pin away from the 4 pin ._. Regardless, and despite 3 opens, I chained a few strikes together and threw up a decent score.
Game 3: I never could really get anything going, but salvaged a decent score with a double in the tenth.
Conclusion: I could have done about 80-100 pins better tonight if I was automatic with the 10 pin. I don't have that much trouble on the odd lane, but on the even lane the ball return just gets in my way. The problem lies in the fact that I start so far back when I begin my approach. I'm moving too fast to drift significantly to the left after passing the ball return, but never have a good angle to attack the 10 pin with. I'm still thinking of ways to deal with this. BTW, how the hell do you make a 2-8-10!? WTF HAHA.

yeah candle pin bowling is really hard from what I understand and you still bowled better than I did. T.t

hah nah the 2-8-10 is pretty hard and I have my own problems with the 10 pin T.t. I just couldn't believe I bowled so badly on thursday. I bowled almost 50 pins below my avg.

2-8-10? eeek. I myself get the 4-10 split rather often but since I've gotten them quite a few times now I've been able to make it maybe 1/3 times. But the 2-8-10? I dunno what to say :s gl kingpin

ah the 4-10? That's pretty had to leave in itself. You must be throwing the bowl wrong or something to be leaving it often enough to know how often you pick it up. I haven't left the 4-10 in forever. Although I did leave the pocket 7-10 and the 4-9 and a 10 pin in 3 of the first 4 frames for my first game.

Ye I probably bowled a little off..I'd guess its mainly due to me fingering only two holes and not all three (mind ya I picked it up after my roommate who bowls in leagues) i guess sooner or later I'll have to change that if I want to move up a notch..
one other remain I get more often than anything else is the lone 10 pin which I am able to pull off a little better now.
damn, duke what a way to start the game x.x you'd have to be pretty gosu to get all spares

hah I know but I didn't. I had one spare and 3 or 4 straight opens. I was like wtf this isn't how it's suppose to happen. But I got like 4 strikes in a row and ended with a 159. But I was completely off the whole. My 196 avg is gonna dip just a bit.
