My question is this, if I reformat my laptop, do I need to have files for drivers and such? When I bought the laptop, it didn't have driver CD's or anything like that. This goes for the connection or whatever, or do I have to install some files for the wifi?

If you reformat, that usually means you need to reinstall windows which you might not be able to do without a CD. The best place to look is at the support section of the HP website, I guess. When they don't give you a CD with your laptop, they should have some other way of letting you start over. If you do reformat, remember to save all your important files and data somewhere first.

if u just reformat it then u should need all the drivers. but well thats not so hard imho..... just dl them now and save to a stick. how to know which drivers: just look in ur control panel---->system---->hardware tab---->Device Manager here u can right click every component of ur laptop. write down complete name and just google "<name> driver" and dl it for xp- u should need drivers for: gfx card and audio card I don't even have StarCraft installed into it. this is a shame.....
