My biggest accomplishment was bought more so than earned: I got a Clavinova CLP 745! I've been using it pretty much nonstop since I assembled it (and I did it by myself which was a feat unto itself...). It took a couple of days to transition myself over to the weighted keys but I'm pretty much used to it now. I'm currently learning Maple Leaf Rag (I think the original version) from the book that came with the piano as well as some videogame music. Goals? Maybe make a piano video. | ||

I'd really like to arrange piano sheet music of songs I like that don't already exist as piano sheet music, but I'm not sure how to become capable of doing that. I guess I could use advice there. My first step is to get my playing skill up, especially now that I have a real-ish piano. Second, I need to learn more music theory. Third, I need to learn how to compose music. Fourth, I need to improve my ability to recognize music just by listening to the notes. Is that about right? | ||
