Oh man, how the heck would I know that the Death Beetle in Maggot Lair could cast Amplify. So right, I was helping my friend through A2, I had nice gear for my level, 47:
Weapon: 189/9 Titans.
Helm: Set crown that gives resists, I forgot name.
Amulet: +13str/+1 zon skill/resists rare amulet.
Rings: Dual resist/rare/str-modded rings.
Belt: Bladebuckle belt.
Armor: Spirit shroud.
Shield: Ancient's pledge.
And through it all, I thought I could tank but in the end, FE + Ammplify on you = GG if you don't have physical damage reduction. My friend looted my gear, thank god, but I lost all of my Pgems I was going to trade later, as well as my Shael runes... I was going to mule it off but oh well, currently I am level 9, hopefully tomorrow = level 30'ish.

i am not really into d2 anymore but didnt it take like one day to get lv75?
at least that's how i remember it

It depends, maybe if you have a gang of friends, TPPK exist, when I was level 34, I got TPPK'd in normal Baal, not going to take that chance...

Hes playing hardcore. And from what i hear nobody plays pubs because higher levels pk you. So if you take public baal runs out i guess its harder to level. I play softcore so i wouldn't know but sucks to hear. I cant play hc cause i get random lag spikes. But on softcore it takes only a few hours to go lvl 80 with ubers.

gettign level 30 can be done in a day. 47 in like a week. that's just more of a nuisance than anything =p
try losing a lvl 90 ><

30 is 5 hours, 47 is 6 (Baal running) if getting to 47 takes you a week, something is wrong

Yeah guys, first of all, I play whenever I can, it's addicting sure but I just can't really find the time. Most of you said that you lost chars to expiration, etc, were these characters hardcore?

nah mine was lost because i got bored and decided to duel with my high level sin. lost to a druid, i remember it like it was yesterday. my old comp had a very nice hole in the case cuz of that and i think i stopped for some time haha. my sin was badass tho =]

I can't say that I play 5h a day during weekdays, but in the weekends it's not an uncommon occurrence.
If it took a week he would be playing for 50mins or so a day. Even I play more than that during weekdays.

I work 8:30-6 daily and then school after that til 9 or 10. And then I usually go out after. Even without school, that would mean I essentially spend every waking moment not at work, on the toilet or at the dinner table playing D2. So yeah, it's crazy. For anyone who works full time or goes to school full time, to come home and play 5hrs a day, you're clearly lacking a social life.

Weekdays = Monday-Friday = 2-3 hours of gaming a day
Weekends = Saturday-Sunday = Anywhere between 0-20 hours a day (usually around 4, seldom over 8, usually only a PC parties. Never over 6 when I'm at home by myself, unless I'm snowed in)
And dude, you have a pretty fucking tight schedule: 8.30-22. Thats 13½ hours! How the fuck do you manage that. 98% of all people would be able to fit in about 2 hours in front of the computer every day. At least every person I know.
Also, just because you play computer 2 hours a day, does not mean you lack a social life.

Yeah, 2 is fine, but you said 5 at first, or at least implied it =p. I prolly average 2 now, with the hungover weekend afternoons compensating for when i go out in the weekdays.
Yeah, the schedule was a bitch. I changed schools, so it's a little lighter this time around (m-th, 8:30 to 9ish i htink). I had dropped outta one school and started working full-time. When I decided to go back, it was either go back part time (and take like 4 years to get an associates) or go full time and cut back work hours (get a lot less $, which I oculdnt afford). So I sucked it up and did it. You'd be amazed at how you learn to budget time with that schedule =p
