After you take out your lenses you soak them in solution until you put them back in the next day. But when you first buy them and take them out of the box, do you need to soak them? If so, for how long?

I showed this blog to my girlfriend who wears contacts, and she said that when she first got her contacts, she had them soaked for 2 minutes at most before putting them in.

you dont need to soak em at that point - true.

I really really prefer daily contacts though.. It's much easier for really bad eyes, because you can keep em in and watch some tv in bed, then just throw em in the garbage bin next to the bed.

Also a lot cleaner, less irritation.

I see. They wouldn't be good for me since I just need them for driving and distance reading. So if I'm going out for several hours (driving, seeing a movie, etc) then I put them in otherwise, I basically just wear them to see the tv (not a computer monitor though).

I used to wear weeklys and yea, you dont need to soak them before you put them in first because it's already stored in the solution.

Now i prefer dailys because you dont have to put it in the solution at night. Also, it's actually cleaner so you dont usually get itching eyes and stuff. A down side is that it's pretty expensive =(
