Owner Johnny Vegas announced the following
"Hey guys the site is going down pretty soon.
Someone who wants to make battlereports.com a Warhammer 40k site is taking over the domain from me, so this site will stop working at some point after the domain transfer completes (a week or so?).
This place was special for a long while, but sadly everything comes to an end.
Thanks."
If there are any particular memories or reports you want to save. Now is the time.

I am too busy to respond appropriately, so I will fall short and say - Thank you to the owners, runners and contributors. I spent dozens of hours there, reading wonderfully written and fun reports of games that the world would never seen. No replays yet.
What a fucking terrible development.
How much storage is the database? I have a few terabytes locally and can garner more if time is needed.

Battlereports.com is officially gone. Thanks for all the memories.
There is still a hard drive backup of the site in Johnny's possession as it was hosted on a local server he owned. I'll inquire about it and I'll PM you.

Awesome and thank you JV.
For historical reasons, if anyone comes across this blog and needs access to a file, pm me. I am lazy but I will make sure to help you as soon as I can.
Happy 2021. Glad we got a chance to archive and preserve precious history this time.
I will be backing the files up on a raid tomorrow. After everything is safe, I will explore the data and see how hard it is to find and locate files.

Oh man that's really sad but awesome that they were all saved and backed up!

Wasn't this the website that was used to host tournaments way back in the day? Sad to see it closing, Warhammer 40K taking over =P

It was! And continued to do so and provide the service free until it’s last day.
