Beta: A Look Back at Sc2

July marks the 10th anniversary of Starcraft II. To celebrate the anniversary I wanted to work on a history mini doc series dedicated to the early years of Sc2. To start things out I compiled footage from 2010 and have since chopped it up to a series focusing on the main events that took place in the early stages of Sc2.

Episode 1 focuses on the Beta: features footage from the HDH Invitational, Day9's King of the Beta event and an interview or two thrown into the mix.

Other episodes which will be released every month. Each episode will be slightly different with different amounts of game play footage and interviews. I will focus on IEM Cologne (The first major sc2 event post release) MLG 2010 Circuit, GSL 2010, Dreamhack and Blizzcon.

Brings back memories. I miss H2H, was some of my favorite SC2 content back in the day.

How much time did you have to dedicate to make this? Seems rather well done.

Took awhile to work on actually but I thought that if I was going to do this I needed to do it right. So I made sure to do some research on everything since it has been 10 years since I watched these tournaments. Which took a couple days, then working on a script or rough draft of what I wanted to cover, then editing it all together, voice over work. So probably about a week or two of working a couple hours each day.
