yeah my dota friend only plays 1 button heroes and has 320 games of sniper just because hes a goddamn pussy . i try to encourage him to expand his confidence coz i know how much fun it is being able to play the mechanical heroes. right now he's just too shit to play anything else tho coz he works full time and has a new wife and is a retard feeder actually he played slerk for the first time the other day which was mind-boggling for him (he went 2-15 and now i want him to play it all the time coz its fucking hilarious) so that was awesome. then he played about 20 straight games of necrophos to recover LOL. it isn't easy getting the courage to learn something like invoker but really it is a battle of laziness+fear of stress vs determination to be "one of those guys". you can learn invoker in 1-2 hours in a bot match , everyone will tell you that i'm sure, so its just a case of sitting down one day and putting the work in. after that your confidence at tackling new tasks will be permanently raised meepo is hard coz there is a lot at stake when you go to press your buttons and missing off that extra e in ewewewewe2qw can be worse than missing your meteor with invoker . everything is against you , their picks, your button presses, the 700 gold you give every time you die at 20 mins, your respawn time, the fact that everyone on he opposition unitedly has the phrase "omg focus down one of the meepos" in their heads. with invoker at least if you miss your meteor then you dont have to walk in 5 guys to rightclick with your head hung in shame and then die im speaking as a newb of course. maybe one day i will pubstomp with him | ||
