this post is about a japanese idol group of 3 girls and 1 bucho (and whoever does their backing!!)

i found them probably soon after i found babymetal, by chance. there are some other junior idol bands on youtube but i'm not really familiar with them, bands like sakura gakuin, predianna, various school idols... i don't have time to spend researching into them!!!

emi

emi is the "super perfect princess" idol , she is incredible singer and is the idol leader star type whilst being twintails cutiepie. she is the "natural born perfect princess" idol!

yuzu

yuzu is the more serious mother-type idol , i think she was the less popular member for a while because the other girls are more "traditionally cuter" where is she is more punky, but she kept going and i think she is now stronger than ever (and cuter than ever from the recent video!!). she is the real, "work hard be strong" type idol

karin

karin is ...well she looks like a rabbit and sounds like a little rabbit! she is a super softie, maybe a little clumsy and ditzy, she looks like she is in her own fairy tale world of feathers and rainbows and clouds. she is is the ditzy, "always there dancing smiling" idol

this is why i love these girls, they are all super distinct and quirky with their own strong characters and are real performing idols.(and of course lets not forget BUCHU their idol "helper" but really he needs more help than they do sometimes....!!)

many of their full concerts are on youtube but you need to browse the side bar to find them really. lots of more recent ones in HD. here i show some of their songs in single clips

I've heard about the recent emergence of this...like pop idol girl groups with death metal?

Thankfully I never had to experience this when I was living there. But the audience seems to be the same all male - creepy old dudes that go googly-eyed for these teenage 'stars' and pay money to take pictures with them...

I read a story recently about a dude who moved there speaking almost no Japanese in his thirties or something and getting paired up with two 13 year olds by the music industry for something like this. Super weird trend, but that's Japan.

Well, they're not Babymetal(which imo are better), but they are pretty cool!

yeah he was a crossdresser AND amateur wrestler even before he got to japan tho ;p hes also australian, he's basically tobiwan if tobi never got into video games rofl rofl

i actually like them as much as if not more than babymetal, they have so much character and i love a lot of their songs, and they are more idol than metal which i adore, and they do it SO damn well. having said that i am going to wembley arena to proprose to yuichan next year so we will see how it goes
