Hi, I wanted to write this blog at the end of the crowdfunding of the NationWars II event. I want to share with you my esport journey. I think I discovered e-sport 5 years ago with Call Of Duty 4, I was 13. I played this game with my brother. First, we would play for fun, just chilling and laughing. One day, we found a French website, a webtv about CoD4. We were so excited my god, we spent hours and hours watching this web-tv, watching Gamers Assembly, Gamersject in Serbia if I remember well, Nation Wars in CoD, the best match I've ever seen was France vs Czech Republic. This match was awesome, France started on the attack side, they lost 1-11. Then, they switched side and they won the side 11-1. The match was a tie, I was on the edge of my seat with my brother, oh good old days.

I kinda miss this game, the community was awesome, Tek9 forums were awesome for a 14 years old kid.

Then, the game died. I spent countless hours on this game without pleasure, I did not wanted to leave this game but I had to. The CoD 4 community was split between, CoD6, LoL and SC2. I did not pick SC2 as my first choice, I tried to play MMORPG but well, I was so bad at it and decided to play StarCraft 2. I never played any RTS seriously, I played some WarCraft 3 but it was only for fun and I did not fall in love with this game.

I started to go on a French forum, started to play. I started in bronze league, I was a big noob. I think I stayed a whole year on this league, I was stuck because I did not learn how to play. Then, I was silver, gold, platinium.

Then, Iron Squid became a thing, the tournament was launched and this is the best tournament I've ever seen. The crowd, players, casters, the whole tournament was awesome. After this tournament I knew I wanted to become a part of this community. I started with a small French Youtuber who is known for his educative videos, he's a TL regular, mrtolkien, and I watched hundreds of replays for him.

The second big thing was KeSPA. People talked about KeSPA, FlaSh, Jaedong, Bisu, I did not know who these guys were but I knew I respected them. I played a lot of games during this period, I finally reached the master league, my goal was complete, I knew I would not reach GM league or even became a top master player.

The third point is Iron Squid II. This tournament was amazing, I wanted to see the final day but I could not because I had exams during this day. I was so mad, I wanted to see this tournament, I had to. After my exam I ran in my house and I went to Meltdown Paris. The atmosphere here was so great, oh god, people cheered, screamed, I was so happy to be here with them.

I spent hours and hours about this article, it was so good to translate this article, Thorin agreed about his translation and I'm still grateful about this.

Moreover, I've started to work with O'Gaming TV for Underdogs ( http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Underdogs ) and WarHounds ( http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/WarHounds_Season_1 )
I created Liquipedia pages for them, I updated. I was so happy to finally be a part of this community.

I've written an article about one of my favorites players. Duckdeok was a nice player, he was underated but I really liked him. I think this article is my tribute to him. I miss him but well, he knows what's good for him. The last part of my blog is about TL and NationWars II. In April, Kerri, O'Gaming TV head admin sent me a message on Skype. He wanted me to create the NationWarsII page. I was so excited to do it, I loved the idea of this tournament, the crowdfunding was a good idea, and the whole O'Gaming crew was involved in this tournament. During the RO8, I was invited to the O'Gaming place. I was so excited to see them, I've watched VoDs of Pomf&Thud for 3 years and I was able to talk with them, that was crazy for me. Finaly I spent 12 hours behind of a computer because I had to update Liquipedia/TL thread because of issues on the French streams. The atmosphere on O'Gamming place was insane, the whole French community was invited, Millenium, aAa, LDLC were in one place.

And last but no least Team Liquid. TeamLiquid is an awesome website, LR thread are so funny, Lorning is a robot, Boucot is a Millenium brother, NovaMB is Mia, I hope he's fine. shid0x and his team, Otolia with Aligulac, DJHellium is a funny guy and he likes ForGG. Yhamm is Liquipedia boss, seriously he's a robot and I really want to thank him, I was a Liquipedia noob and he teaches me how to do it properly. GumBa is in love with InnoVation. Musicus and another German guys are funny. Stuchiu is the 10 pool master. Zealously is cheering for a great player, lichter is the OP master. There is also SinCitta, seriously, you are amazing with ATC threads. The_Templar, Shellshock, Darkhorse who is always positive, Dinotramp, the guy who lanched the NASL polemic. I know I forget a lot of people, sorry guys.
