"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time." - Thomas A. Edison
This was today's objective:
I ended up waking up early just to watch the latest "Game of thrones" episode and it was sick! I even managed to eat breakfast.
I decided to complete the run first. For those of you who read the day 1 blog, I had to complete a 30 minute run/jog and only managed to travel 3km in 30 minutes. After the previous failure I was really dedicated to finishing the 3km faster than before and without stopping.
I focused heavily on my breathing to pace myself. But more importantly I was ready mentally.
It took me 6:20 to complete the first kilometer and then it started to really hurt. If I was running purely for myself I probably would have given up right there and then but I really wanted to prove to everyone I have what it takes.
A few days ago I was reading through one of Neila Reys blogs where she mentioned that 90% of things you can't do are due purely to just thinking you can't. If someone a mere week ago told me I would be running 3km with out any breaks I wouldn't have believed it.
Although I wanted to give up I just kept blanking my thoughts putting one foot in front of the other. In previous runs I would usually get slower even grind to a halt as I got more and more tired but not this time. After I got over the initial pain, I was able to keep going. I covered the final kilometer in 5:40!!. The whole run took me exactly 19 minutes and that included hills, for most people that would be conciderd a poor time. But looking back on Day 1, I was really happy with the progress I had made.
#Much distance. Such speed. Wow.
I completed the remaining exercises after lunch will no problems, they were all easy which was a good thing as I was totally wiped out.
After fixing some technical bugs with the internet I started to stream excited to do well after a successful set of wins the day before and after succeeding in the run. But...I got demolished. I only really played one good game which was a ZvT, which I came from behind to win and had a apm of 150 a new record. The other four games which I lost we stomps. I wasn't outplayed I was just awful. I messed up every build with supply blocks and build errors, meaning I lost to simple pushes that I should have be able to hold. My opponents must have thought that Christmas had come early!
In Hearthstone I didn't fair any better I ended up going 5-5, I made a few misplays but faced a lot of bad match-ups. Without hunters to get free wins off the deck is starting to get worse. I may have to change decks if I want to reach Legend soon.
"PiG" a Australian pro gamer (top 100 GM Korea playing zerg), had some time to send me a quick PM regarding his schedule and how he improves and I think its time to take his advice. To improve he scours over Korean replays to pick out builds which he likes, he then grinds customs (without opponents) until he can nail the timings down to the second. Only then does he take it to the ladder. So tomorrow before the stream I will prepare new build orders and practice them in customs. Hopefully this will stop me from throwing away so many games.
Make sure you give him a like. You can find his details here:

But the session wasn't a a total waste of time, I gained two new followers. Thanks!

Thanks for reading and supporting me, I couldn't have completed that run without the comments I have read over the past few days. Tomorrow ill be back to the proper schedule and the stream will be live at 7pm GMT+1. I look forward to seeing you all there!
P.S I am currently looking to make my stream more professional with on and off screen graphics which can properly display what I am trying to do. I am also still experimenting with the blog format. If you can help me with this send me a pm.
