Remember this
Nobody really cared about esports, how much a company would make profit, how big are the stream numbers, hell people didn't even care if their game sold 10 copies, if it still was good.
Now people are outraged about stream numbers, how much pro players get paid, twich smack talk between people etc....
I have come to believe that no one really plays the games anymore, we have become a mass of idiots watching streams and complaining about e-stardom of our favorite scene. If we were to make an analogy it would be of a society of people who only watch tv and only talk about stars life ( now were have i seen that)

The only weird thing about us compared to the general idiot, is that the general idiot will masturbate to Angelina Jolie, while we masturbate to Reach.
We have become so incredebly stupid since the beggining of esports, streams and competitions that i actually want esport to die of a horrible death.
The worst is that any sense of community we had before as the total nerds has been completely shattered right now, If u dont know all the pro players in the most famous team X, then by today standarts u are not a real gamer..............................................
Now this blog has no real point, i will stay in the minority, and nothing will really change ever, i just wanted to write this. If i could give an advice to everybody is to take a deep breath before u read something and a big breath before u write something. Chill out and stop being so fucking serious over a stupid pixelated video game.

Didn't you feel guilty when you wrote this thread? You kind of become who you dislike, don't you? I mean you know nothing will change and yet you complain about things much in the same way that others will complain about stream numbers.
Enjoy your games and let others complain.

The videogames industry has become like the stockmarket: People's opinions are more important than reality.

Its really not that hypocritical :-/ there is more to his post then just "people are whinny bitches, here me whine".
I mean tho, he does have a point. I don't post often these days because most of the threads on here are drama threads i tend to ignore. All he was saying is that it is becoming less a community involved in a game and more of a mass of people stuck on it like well..... sports(with its sports star, league, money drama... etc.).
Its a different environment, and he doesn't like it, that is the point of the blog. Negative comments are expected but i guess countering someone with whining about whining is pretty easy and standard.

Like with anything in the world, people would rather "watch" than "do".
Play the games you love, let the streamers stream and let the viewers watch... Losers will be losers, whether you remind them or not.

I can't see any of the pictures.
Your post has a good message though.

That's because he [img] tagged the Google search results.

So you are seriously angry about people taking something too seriously?

I can kind of relate. I remember spending a lot of time on gamefaqs, and off brand fan sites like "theempirallibrary". The feeling was just different. It was a community driven atmosphere, not one driven by entertainment. If you liked the game way to much you hung out there, and what you argued about was nerdy shit, like whether or not snow elves were a real thing or a just a legend (quick let me site the in game texts). I honestly felt like everybody on the forum was the same as me. The moderators were the most active posters, not semi aloof community figures that seemed unapproachable. Things are different now. All kinds of different people can be gamers or whatever, but it feels strange to see so many attractive, outgoing, fun loving people representing my favorite games in esports some times. Esports has made gaming so official and given it a pretty face that in some ways its lost that person feel.
I love esports. Much rather have a community filled with drama if it also includes pro players to watch with well produced content managed by professional producing it. Still, like the OP, kind of miss the old days a little bit.
I feel like team liquid used to be like that. Don't know though, because I came in with most everybody else after it had already, probably for the better, changed :/
