Hello to TL and everyone who know who I am:
Today I am here because I'd like to apologize for my actions in the past. Yes, it is true that I was very BM to many people who didn't deserve it. But gradually, I've gotten better now, and I can tell you that I will not BM anymore nor have I BMed in the recent couple of days. I am truly, very sorry to those people that I did BM in the past. I'm not asking all of you guys to like me or anything. Just please give me a chance to show everyone that I have changed and do not BM anymore. There were times in the past where I felt very frustrated because my skill level was stagnating or I was dealing with real life problems, so I expressed my emotions through SC2. I was very wrong to do so. When I play SC2, I always want to be known as somebody who people can say is a good player. I try to work on my BM problems everyday and I had just never realized until now that my bad manner had gotten me such a bad reputation. So once again, I am very sorry to anyone I have ever bad mannered, deserving or undeserving, and very sorry to everyone on TL and people who supported me.

I think you should see a psychologist. You go way beyond standard bm. I seriously thought you were crazy.
|
Ouch, sorry you felt that way

Never BM to me, glad I missed those days tehe!!~

I think so too.
Also, if you're going to try and be less bm, do it by actions and give the community a lot of time to change their opinion. A simple apology thread isn't going to accomplish anything with how bad your reputation is.
|
Sorry, i'll show you i can change though
|
On June 26 2013 06:54 IAmBelieve wrote: @poo sorry you feel that way, but i will change and show you i can, plus if you're not going to right anything nice, why BM me like this back? :/
Because I actually do think a psychologist or just seeing 'someone' about your rage/bm issues would be really beneficial for you. I do hope you change your ways. Sorry if it sounds negative or harsh, but it's just how I feel about my interactions with you in the past.

I've known Believe,as a former gamer of Monomaniac E-Sports and I know he had a lot of issues with with real problems, but he gradually changed over time, even to me he was bm. But I know he didn't meant it, He was my friend and mentor. I've recently noticed he's changed the way he was. He's more friendly, when the game is over if he loses or wins he says GG.! you can see for you self on his stream. thanks for letting me guys share this information, Believe is a good guy. there shouldn't be that much hate, come on it's the internet. look at idra he's #1 in BM!. and people still love him. I'm just saying . If you wanna help me with my grammar go ahead. I actually need help writting . thanks guys once again.

Yesterday you show up with your replay pack and what you wrote suggested that you expected to be welcomed with open arms. Today you show up with a vague general catch-all apology. This makes me think that you didn't expect that your BM would come back to bite you and are only sorry because you are getting the treatment that befits your behavior. You think that going a few days without BMing constitutes "getting better."
This apology appears self-serving and insincere, it would be (lag)Believable if it came after a change rather than before.

You really need to follow him to understand that this change hasn't been a few days. Think more weeks to month. Imagine playing 20 games or more per day for 2 or 3 weeks. That's a really big change that's happening with him. I'm fine if you don't understand. That's your opinion and your entitled to it.

@MoA many of the people i play on a daily basis don't comment on this thread, the only people i play that have commented are sasquatch and theory, you realise that thread has 10k view's and just 7 page's of writing, it dosen't always mean everybody who i didn't bm in the past few weeks are going to write "oh yeah this guy didn't BM me in the past few weeks" if you'd like proof for yourself why don't you just watch my latest vods on my stream?

I beg to differ. http://drop.sc/346010
June 1st. I haven't played him since then but this was the most recent. There was another incident where he BM'd one of my teammate in a friendly CW of a bo3. (That one was much more recent than this game)
BMing people on the internet is one thing. BMing someone who has tried to help fix his BM image, girl issues and other things are another case. I shrugged off many of his BM in custom games before because it was very nice of him to help me practice but after when he gets "frustrated" aka losing he starts making any excuse on top of the insults. I can understand when someone gets very angry or frustrated at points in the game but vs friends, I don't think that should be a case to even consider. No apologies after either.
THIS is why I don't support him.
EDIT: Time to find a new smurf.

So the TLDR is that this guy hacks and BMs everyone and then makes a fake apology after 24hrs because his replay pack wasn't well received? Cool drama

I do not care what car you drive. Where you live. If you know someone who knows someone who knows someone. If your clothes are this years cutting edge. If you are A list or B list or never heard of you list. If your trust fund is unlimited. I only care about the words that flutter from your mind. They are the only thing you own. The only thing I will remember you by. I will not fall in love with your bones or skin. I will not fall in love with the places you have been. I will not fall in love with anything but the words that flutter from your extraordinary mind. -Andre Jordan
This is basically one main way that forum users judge other forum users that they have yet to knowingly meet irl. Don't worry if they try to put you down for it, they don't know your full story. Just keep believing.

thanks 3ffa, means allot dude!

I think we all need to take a step back from the hate. I believe at the higher level of play, emotions run high and things get said that arent meant. Of course this doesnt justify any behavior but I would like to point out that very few people have the courage to make a post and applogize for their behavior. I'm willing to give believe a second chance. Above all, he definitely has cut down if not completely erased his behaviors. Most of the hate has been from the past. As a small community we need to support our members and forgive them for past transgressions. Its a game! Lets all enjoy it! I think we should forgive believe and he is already not just talking the talk but showing his change via actions. I for one will not judge him on his prior behavior but will watch his stream and see the way he acts now. We should give people second chances and not always get our pitchforks out.

He put out an apology thread, I don't think he expects people to welcome him with open arms, and I don't think he wants people to forgive him, just give him another chance basically. Going a few days without BM is as good as you can get from the point where he was at. This is like walking up to someone quitting smoking and saying "going a few days without smoking doesn't constitute getting better"

I totally support Believe 100%, because he is a good guy with a good heart, and none of those accounts are his - he just said "Hey, people are hounding me on TL and I'm depressed." and his friends were like "Don't worry, we'll set this straight." and he was like "No, you don't gotta do that. What they're saying is true... I'm a terrible person " and then his friends decided that enough was enough! They've had it with... these... ugly comments... on this message board.
Also, Believe never hacked, the reps were scanned by mca64, they're legit, mca approved, case closed. Anyhow, stop being a bunch of whiny haters. Believe is a great person, and I'm sure you're all great people too. We don't need all this animosity when clearly, there are more important things in life.

Is this Showtime , Trixy, believe etc?

something i've learned from all this is the average sc2 player base is extremely immature. sure believe BMs, but move on and get over with it. it's a video game, anything you take into literal context is your own fault. it's extremely hypocritical that you people pursue Believe and people such as him but people like Nerchio and IdrA are completely fine right? just because Believe isn't "e-famous" he isn't exempt to the "it's fine to BM" status?
People get upset in this game, you should expect outlash of emotions. people get mad and frusturated when they arent excelling at something they are passionate about. everyone in here has bm'd at some point or thought bad things about another player. so forgive and forget and move on.
Believe is a great player, I know him IRL and he's a good friend. He's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He might be a bit BM online, but that's because he gets frusturated when he loses. I'm pretty sure Believe doesn't say anything he actually means most of the time. I know he has beef with some of the Toronto players (and so do I), so maybe theirs some hatred between them. But the randoms he plays on ladder i doubt he actually means anything he says

Well, i am very upset that you have never BM'ed me, and i wont forgive you till i am thoroughly insulted.

I have known John (Believe, Trixy, etc.) since playing warcraft 3. He has always had a talent for games and works fairly hard, and gets good results mechanically and technically, and I thought he might be able to achieve greatness. But, I have always been skeptical about his mental downfalls. I would consider him a friend, yet he would even BM me occasionally in customs (this was years ago, mind you.) I really hope he can overcome these problems, and I will be a support system in any way possible.

Checkley checklist to being a psychopath
Superficial charm and good "intelligence" ?? Absence of delusions and other signs of irrational thinking ?? Absence of "nervousness" or psychoneurotic manifestations ?? Unreliability ?? Untruthfulness and insincerity yes Lack of remorse and shame yes Inadequately motivated antisocial behavior ?? Poor judgment and failure to learn by experience yes Pathologic egocentricity and incapacity for love yes General poverty in major affective reactions ?? Specific loss of insight ?? Unresponsiveness in general interpersonal relations ?? Fantastic and uninviting behavior with drink and sometimes without ?? Suicide threats rarely carried out ?? Sex life impersonal, trivial, and poorly integrated ?? Failure to follow any life plan ??
