The Best Thing about TL
Hail, fellow Liquidians!
Team Liquid is a beloved progaming team that provides progaming news (BW/SC2/DotA2) and hosts a forum for a large community of strategy game lovers. Team Liquid is actually a lot of things, but what is the best thing about it?
You can find great databases of information on the chosen games (shoutout @ Liquipedia) or you can just go play a whole new game (shoutout @ TL Mafia). The smartest english-speaking StarCraft fans/critics can be found on teamliquid and post their thoughts on teamliquid. If you wanna talk about and play other games with fellow liquidians, we want to hear & play with you (Sports & Games)! Bored of games and wanna talk about something else like music/movies/art or news/politics/philosophy? We got you covered (General). Not necessarily in the mood for talking with others but still want to tell them what you think? There is much freedom in the Blogs section, but reconsider the listening part because there's more than a few great advice-givers over there.
Amongst the Team Liquid community you can find people from all over the world with all types of backgrounds: young, old, boys, girls, rich, poor, fat, athletic, skinny, tall, short, black, white, asian, hispanic, etc. What we all have in common is that we've all been priviledged enough to play and appreciate some of the best strategical games this planet has to offer. We are a generally reflective and intelligent type of people that tend to be relatively educated - at the very least we all have regular access to the greatest body of knowledge known to man (the internet), something a lot of people still don't have btw. As above average as our average IQ probably is (no source, deal with it), it's not like we all magically agree on what is good/bad and right/wrong about anything... quite the contrary.
And that's exactly the best thing about Team Liquid: the fact that members of its community tend to be relatively educated & intelligent and yet often disagree with each other. It means that Team Liquid is a great place to post your ideas and in turn receive valuable criticism (and trust me, you will receive criticism, try it) from important perspectives.
Maybe they are probably wrong about what they say. But if we're all so smart and disagree so much, everyone is probably wrong about most things at this rate! Let's be fair: you're probably wrong too, so maybe you should find out. If you are not wrong - if you are right - we wanna know too ya bastard, so speak up.
I feel sympathy for the people who do not speak up - the proverbial lurkers (and anyone who remains silent, refusing to ask questions and explain their position or read replies) - these people who unfortunately rob themselves (and the people they go on to interact with) of one of the best chances to have their perspectives challenges by their peers.
The best thing about Team Liquid is how easy it is to find someone who legitimately disagrees with you and is willing to explain why.

...and btw the best way to show that I'm wrong is to rate this 5/5 and go along with it
