Hell yeah I'm trying to promote my field and try to be the first athletic trainer in an esports team. If that's not clear enough for you I can shout in big capital letters.

Thing is I'm being honest, and you can't really fault me for that. It's something every professional team should have, or tournament organization. I also said that it's not something most can do right now, but if they can, they definitely should, and I believe I laid out the reasons why.

I think this is an example of correlation not causation. The player with the fastest APM ever, July, was overweight. Mind over matter.

And the greatest BW player ever had to sit out for awhile because of a wrist injury.

Mind over matter is helpful though, and an ATC can help an athlete get into the zone by setting a routine in practice and then carrying it over into tournament play to help get them focused and zeroed in.

an athletic trainer seems like a luxury very few esports teams would have the money to even consider right now. Lots of teams don't even pay their players enough let alone having room to spend on extra stuff.

I definitely see the possible benefits of having a trainer and it could be a positive benefit for a team, but I just don't see room for it in esports yet, at least not for SC2. maybe there's more money in LoL/Dota?

a couple of the very top teams have the money to think about it probably, EG and maybe 1 or 2 others...But it's just a tough sell considering injuries and physical issues are quite rare for esports players, greatly reducing any sort of "need" for something like an athletic trainer.

It's a sound idea and probably beneficial, but I feel like you're going to have to do some work first volunteering your services to make teams or players want to have an athletic trainer. MLG is coming up and maybe you can sign up and volunteer for that as a start. Good luck!
