http://www.twitch.tv/vtarlock/b/333495047 While I still remain offended with the highjacked cast, I want to make it clear to the viewers that I did not come into the cast looking to pick a fight at the expense of the entertainment for those watching. I am not even close to that level of immaturity. I was annoyed with the highjacking of the cast but initially I was planning for the sake of the show to show no signs of this and instead to participate in an entertaining follow up to what I heard was a disappointing series. I still disprove of warlock's supposition that he either deserved or was desired to participate in an event that had absolutely nothing to do with him. I am disappointed that the viewers didn't protest to have Kiante, Hackle, L_master, Noise, Game, aegyo, Ribbon (seriously), SNM in korean, nina with auto-tune or any other actual BW commentator to cast with reese, rather than an untested (in terms of casting skill) unknown (In bw he's unknown and when I followed sc2 I never heard of him) sc2 player who just happened to be the most recent to post a request to cast in the thread. I put a lot of effort into this event and it is frustrating to see it covered behind my back by an individual who knows jack shit about either the BW scene, or the players involved in the GM (he had a small window of time in which he got to know Telecom but there are few people here who haven't). I did fuck up with my scheduling and while the show had to go on, I was disappointed to see that no capable and qualified casters took the streaming initiative.

That was his initial excuse for why he should be the streamer behind the GM. However even when he thought that he wouldn't be able to stream, he still tried to latch himself on as a caster when there was no longer a reason: On September 26 2012 08:24 VTArlock wrote: I may have to step down for streaming, I've been trying to figure out how to get all the screen regions and resolutions correct and I can't seem to do it. :/ I'm running dual widescreens and its just giving me issues, in game looks odd as well. You came into the call with the stream on and unable to have a conversation without monologuing for a minute. What time did you put into this match beside posting comments? It was a lot more than pming mods, practicing with RK, and telling him when to mellow down. Back when every comment in this thread was either RK raging or people accusing GGzerg of dodging for not participating in a GM with stakes that were unjustified at the time, I was the only one in this entire thread who who put forth an effort to cultivate an effective communication between both parties. I saw to the maintenance of this communication for the entire duration of a very long drama laden thread, through every single one of the numerous hiccups that transpired. This entire time I have been the only one effectively doing this. Practically no one believed that this GM would ever happen. GGzerg has been challenged to many many valid GM's and to my knowledge, has not played in a single one of them. This GM was destined to die on page 4, but through maintaining a consistent and balanced communication between both of parties, I manged to make it happen, even if it took 35~ pages to evolve it into its final form. There were so many points along the way where progress towards the GM almost stopped and I exclusively kept the communication between Telcom and RK flowing, and the GM pushing forward. Looking back I have no idea why I put so much thought into making sure this GM happened. I don't hate Telecom. I don't respect him but I feel very limited amounts of animosity towards him at all. I think from the very beginning I had a hint of an idea of how to make this GM happen. When I saw so many people doubtful, I took it as a challenge. Then when things started to take off, I decided I was going to make sure that it was good. If you are curious as to why I am disappointed, this is the reason. The amount I invested was nullified when third parties took ownership of the direction of the GM the second that my back was turned. RK was unwilling to utilize his spare time to practice and ascertain an even slightly tolerable level of play. He went into the GM apathetic to whether or not he could put his money where his mouth was. I'm not blaming you two for acting like faggots towards me when my tech issues made me sound like a retard when I entered the cast. I am simply offended by the audacity that both of you possessed, and the air of ownership that the both of you permeated in regards to the GM. User was warned for this post

It all started with RK and GGzerg writing essays to each other as Chill pointed out in the cast. ![]()

Commentator issues: It was great that someone decided to take on the responsibility to actually cast the game on his stream, it did seem to be uncertain before the game. Weird thing when most of the commentators seem to know very little about the actual game itself nor enjoy watching it very much. You can not cast with 14 commentators. Some people had to go. A caster should (I think I speak for most stream viewers when I say that) preferably be well known, entertaining or knowledgeable. Best ofc with all three. There is one thing that is more important: he casts the game. That means declaring who's who (people were wondering who was who in the first game until the end) and talking about what's going on, stats, etc. Clearly lacking in all those aspects.
