EPTlesson 2.2 assume other people are rational and high level players of the game.
No matter what level/league you are. It is always good to assume that player 2 (or all other players for that matter) are just as skilled, if not more skilled, than YOU.
This means you will not be leaving things to chance.
i.e. Do not use DTs and "hope" that player 2 has no detection.
i.e. assume player 2 can see the whole map.
i.e. assume player 2 will be using a dominating strategy.
I think a great practice (even though you will lose almost every single game) is to tell a friend of yours or your training partner, exactly what you are doing, and then do it. This can get kind of silly, but it will get you used to not just hoping player 2 is an idiot and maybe he doesnt have detection/anti air/doesnt see the drop. You should be planning your strategies because they are good, and because they increase your chances of success in the game. DTs are good, DT drops are good, sneaking DTs into a bass is good. DONT do any of these things just because you hope they will get you a free win. Do them because you can turn them into archons later, do it because you scouted and know where there is no detection, do it because you are also attacking at the front. But always assume that they will not win you the game because player 2 is skilled and rational. they are all small plays in order to increase success rate. and remember, you know how to deal with DTs as well.
Not only will this make you a better player, but in the off case that you run into a really stupid, unskilled, unrational player. These strategies which you have practiced against very skilled rational players will outright get you a win.
