a letter to myself and a kick in the pants

Calach United States58 Posts July 16 2012 17:08 GMT #1 hey guys my name is whittaker and i'm a diamond terran player...last night i wrote myself a letter...i thought i'd share it with you guys What's stopping you? nothing. Then what's holding you back from being the best there is? You're homeschooled and you have all the time in the world...why are you so lazy?? you've been stuck in diamond for too long...step up your game...push yourself to the limit... and when you can't play anymore...you better play some more! I know you Whit...you'll stop when you're tired...you always have...and it's never enough...quit being lazy....get off reddit and play some games...i don't care who's streaming you have you play....why? Becuase you have no excuse not to! you're blessed with all the time in the world and with a nice computer...you better use it then and God has blessed you the opportunity and the skill to play this game you told them that you'd do it...so prove to them that you can!! Do it for sam, preston, trevor, kurtis, tyler,(clanmates and friends) mom and dad...go to korea...get in a team house...be the best there is!!! no one is stopping you!!! as for the haters? the people that say "it's just a video game" and "you'll never do well"...show them how awesome this video game is! show them that you CAN be good and do well in this game...prove them wrong...and how good will it feel when you're standing on the MLG stage while they're just watching gl hf p.s. i better not catch you being lazy again!!! i wrote myself this letter because i needed a "kick in the pants" to get motivated and play more...i'm sick of being stuck in diamond i hate to make this seem like i'm advertising but please check out my stream twitch.tv/ketchup455 i stream almost every time i play thanks again for reading <3 gl hf

I just make it my mantra to at least play 5+ 1v1 games a day, and you sort of fall into a routine, so it doesn't become some sort of chore, or if you are tired/sleepy/lazy that day, you still do it. Not only that, but if you play consistently, (like a few games each day), rather than binging and play 50-75+ games on weekends only, you will improve more noticeably (at least that has been my experience). You get better habits, cycling between supply/workers/army, macro, etc. It's all about muscle memory, so just play a bit each day and learn from your mistakes! Good luck on the ladder!
