Hello,
A friend of mine will be starting a job in programming soon and is having some confidence issues, so I decided to give her a hand and build something production ready before she has to start. We are able to build web applications/services in Java, and the time frame we have set for this is about two weeks until the middle of July, or maybe more if the need arises. This is a donation of developer time, so we are doing this free of charge, hopefully we can make someones day a little bit better.
I originally posted a more technical description, if you are interested, on Hacker News here: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=4180984 but then I thought, that since TL is my home on the internet I should also put this on here. Perhaps some of you need a web application built for an event or a team, or something else. If you do, just shoot me a PM or a comment.
Regards, NR

Double Stealth: the public doesn't know what we're building and neither do we. // lol

What I wanted to clear with you guys was if you had the possibility of hosting a Java website, since as far as I can tell your current website is written in PHP. Usually Java sites need a bit of a different hosting platform, which usually has different pricing.

Um, to be honest I don`t know exactly is there a way you could find out if the permissions were given.

To be honest I can't really tell. Do you guys have access to the machine that hosts the site or not? Usually if you have access to it you can probably install a Java application on it. If the entire website creation was done through some sort of admin panel, the chances are pretty small that your provider offers support for Java.
Maybe someone from the community could find out if your hosting provider supports Java or not? I'm not really good at sorting out the hosting stuff unfortunately.

The site has been created through Admin Cp. Additionally the owner hosts our site through his hosting company. I will find out more.

Sorry, I do not know much php. This is more of a project to get something done in Java that people might find useful. So, let me know if you manage to get a hold of him, and can clear this up.
