Now my general theme for this army is going to be that dark blue/black look. The bigger the model the more detail and effort i put in! I have a squad of wraiths some immortals and a command barge and a ghost arc i also plan on painting over the next month. I plan on using much more purples and silver with those units.
I know my warriors are simple but i want them to have a horde-y type look. A single driving force that is more of a blob than individual models.

1. Matt Black base primer
2. heavily watered down (almost 50/50) coat of Necron Abyss foundation
3. another heavily watered down layer of Necron Abyss foundation on thinker armour pieces
4. Necron Compound on the eyes - to make the purple pop a little bit more
5. Xereus Purple over the Necron Compound - very sloppy around the edges to give to give eyes a glowing effect
6. Genestealer Purple lightly drybrushed over the rest of the lower face.
Now i'm wondering if i should do another layer of Xereus purple over the eyes again to give them a little more pop. I like how it looks now... but maybe it could look even more dynamic? Any more experienced painters know?
