The eight year old could kill you for your bag and nothing would happen to him. That intervention program? It's nothing. The social welfare people don't have the money to run it properly, so NOTHING happens to kids who commit crimes in the Philippines. No exceptions. Syndicates employ kids to do various kinds of criminal work, because if the kids get caught nothing happens to them. It's actually likely that a kid caught here might get adopted by a foreigner. A chef friend of mine used to work there and he said the food was terrible. Then again, his favorite food is instant noodles, so I'm not sure how reliable his opinion is ^_^ | ||

I noticed it because someone was managing to follow me (it's not the case anymore, but at the time I was walking very fast, so if someone could follow me I was suspicious).
