So I've always thought of myself as good at games. I have been playing since I was very little after all. Games seem to come naturally to me. As long as they aren't RTS it seems. I'm good at Starcraft. By good I talk of being better than the average player. I have hit diamond league which as we all know is better than the average expected player.
But that diamond league was as Protoss. I was specifically trying to play as slowly as possible and get to three bases and my tech of choice to counter the opponents army. Usually I defaulted to mass chargelot with 2-3 warp prisms. Most players at that league and under can't handle multiple warp prisms all over their bases. So what's my point?
Well I'm a Terran player. It's what I want to be. It IS the most fun for me. I like being able to micro the hell out of whatever unit I make and be able to increase it's effectiveness. The only problem is my multitasking ability, while above average due to my love for multi drop, does not cover everything. I'll forget units, depots and whatnot.
Usually I would blame this on protoss OP or damn, I looked away a second before the banelings rolled in. Because as Terran I've never risen higher than mid platinum. It's frustrating to say the least. I get mad. Like any normal person would do under such circumstances. I would constantly play other races and claiming Terran is too much work.
So what does this have to do with MVP? Well, put simply I am awed by his ability to play through what must be excruciating pain and produce amazing results. I am amazed at his decision making and ability to never miss a macro beat. All while playing with wrists that would turn the average player away from games entirely. It truly is inspiring. Where does this leave me? The normal MVP fan? Well...
I just want to be considered good at this game. Top 8 masters maybe GM if I can play enough. So in this case I need to pick a race. Terran easily is my favorite. I'm going to use MVP as a role model of sorts. A sort of "This is how you play Terran at all times" person. Every time I watch him I am amazed and I want to take that feeling and be able to look at myself in 6 months and say with confidence that I can play Terran properly. Of course by properly I mean MVP style. Safe, secure, solid, dominating.

GL with terran, I tried them multiple times but I couldnt handle tvz and i hate mech.

Anyways to OP, gl I'm a terran player but just can't handle TvP lol. Just a horrid matchup imo, I hope the expansion introduces new play styles that are viable.

If that makes you angry then you need to find some help. Any capitalization is fine as long as the context makes it clear, I highly doubt he cares so why are you getting offended for him? It makes me unbelievably angry when people get offended for other people.
If you want to be as good at multitasking as mvp just use bare minimum hotkeys like he does, watching him play like that while hotkeying like 1 unit all game is insane

"doesnt-use-hotkeys" -> hotkey everything -> "doesn't-use-hotkeys"
...more true in BW I guess because of how limited the control groups are

Good read, AyameStarcraft. Don't worry, I'm in the same boat as you - I've always been great at games since I was little, and I'm stuck in diamond league as Terran and the other two races are much easier for me to use. I haven't moved up in ranking in about a year, even though I've played a fair amount and I keep on learning more about the game. The truth is the multitasking kills me, but I just love that feeling of sieging up a bunch of tanks or microing hellions or marines to get their max usage... it's great stuff My fav player is MKP though, but Mvp is who I study when I try a more mechanical build. Good luck getting out of plat, you can do it :D

I am also really inspired MVP. He's really the reason I ever got into starcraft. I followed him to the extent that thwn he lost in Providence I just closed my laptop and didn't even care about the outcome. When he slumps I love my interest in starcraft but when he is winning he's truly the best in the world. Hopefully he will get surgery soon so he can rise again!
