Whether my attitude is right or wrong, either way that's just how I feel. Take it for what you will. This is actually a legit argument that I'd like people to ponder more upon. It's parallel to the question: should professional football/basketball players have that lavish lifestyles based on our money? Or should we be able to pay less and they live a little less extravagantly? Some one will surely screams: but it's free market and people are willing to pay! That's a moot argument, because we're discussing a moral question here. If we decide that we shouldn't pay so much to furnish that lavish lifestyle, then people will no longer be "willing". Everyone is paying so much for professional sport right now just because we think that it's okay -- but it doesn't HAVE to be that way. Likewise with e-sport. | ||

I'd imagine that increased player support is appealing especially for the Korean teams. They might not be able to always send over support staff and coaches etc, so to have runners between the hotel/venue and other logistical helpers probably makes things a lot less stressful for those players. Also, as far as picking a "less expensive" area... guess what, nobody wants to visit Tumbleweedville, _insert 45 out of 50 states_, especially people coming from out of country. Even with a widely dispersed audience (geographically), advertisers probably like the sound of MLG New York better than say, MLG Topeka. | ||
