What makes you think he had one of these badges? As I understand he was just a spectator who nabbed a good picture of sheth.

The press badge is just the first thing that came to mind. I would have to find my old MLG spectator pass to double check, but I am fairly certain (read 85%) that even the spectator pass had a stipulation similar to the above one in it.

That would be ridiculous. Pretty sure there would be a backlash if ANY photo/video taken by ANY spectator belongs to MLG.

Without itsjustatank coming out and saying what was discussed between MLG_Adam and himself then we really won't know. But MLG being the good guys they are won't put this guy under the bus like he did to them.

You're kidding right? He was pretty polite about it. There isn't a very clear way to get in touch with MLG about an issue like this and so he made a post on a prestigious community website where MLG staffers and people in the know post/read.
IP rights are very serious. MLG is using his IP to make money and not giving him credit. A photo like this one (ie: a very good candid) has a real value. Don't come into his blog and be a douche about an issue that the community needs to deal with to continue growing.

In my experience (cough gosucoachingrefund cough), making a stink about a situation TL is the best way to get the matter resolved quickly. Ideally this shouldn't be the case, and ideally the op could have contacted MLG privately first, but he was certainly under no obligation to do so after having his picture used. Glad it was resolved for you though

Yeah, I'll admit to being a bit hot-headed when making that original post. As I've said, I didn't really know who to contact and where to turn, so I turned to the forum that I've made my home for the past year or so.
To be clear, this issue is completely and satisfactorily resolved as far as MLG and I are concerned. Posting this thread was something both parties mutually agreed upon so that people know that the issue is resolved, because the original thread is closed.
