I'm a college senior, graduating at the end of this semester. Looking for some ways to make some money on a flexible schedule, because I'm in talks about possible internships right now so my schedule is too unpredictable to just pick up a McD's job, not to mention if I do secure an internship I'm gonna be dropping everything and maybe even moving. In the meantime though, I have LOTS of free time, because I'm only taking 7 units to finish up my degree.
Short of joining the undocumented day-laborers outside Home Depot, is there anything I can do? Data entry comes to mind, the age-old 'make money from home!' "job" that ends up being a scam 99% of the time ("pay us $50 for your get-started kit!").
Anyone have experience with temp agencies, for example? I basically just want to work, be it physical or mental work (I'm in good shape so labor isn't a problem), but be able to have the peace of mind of knowing that I can walk away at any time and my hours will be flexible. I live in Sacramento, if that helps.

Do you want a job that pays? I'm in a similar place as you, but I do jobs that don't pay me :x

Only job I know of like that is hay baling. Not exactly "pressing" to get done, but there's a decent amount of labor that needs to get finished so most of the farmers I know tend to have really loose schedules about it. Problem if you have allergies or can't lift a hay bale obviously, but other than that...I really don't know.
Hell, I'm not even sure if it's a seasonal thing or not since I've only done it a few times over the summer for extra cash.

Aw, I found a temp job working at an animal hospital on craigslist, but it said you 100% had to have previous animal hospital experience. Too bad, I love cats and dogs.

That's the point...I'm on lists for several internships, and I just want something I can get in and get out of on a moment's notice.

Make sure you don't say that in the interview...I once interviewed a guy that said "I'll be leaving for graduate school in 3 months" and I laughed at him and ended the interview (okay not exactly like that but if you say you are wanting a job you can get out of quick no one will hire you). Do what I did after my senior year and get a crappy job (delivering pizza for me) and then when the time comes you quit and act like it never happened.
