...followed by the nastiest picture of a little baby (whom I feel sorry for, yes) with a huge tumor sticking out the side of his face. I'd describe it, but if I think about it at all, I get light-headed. I'm the most squeamish person alive. I hate blood, I hate talk about gore, I hate when someone talks about how they got hurt or how a bone got snapped.
Every time I see this thing posted, I get hardcore heebie-jeebies and a piece of me dies inside. I've seen it on Facebook about 10 times now. I'm not getting back on until I can figure out a way to hide the posts (if there is a way to hide a certain story permanently, please tell me T_T).
The other thing that peeves me about this is the fact that people think that FB is actually donating $1 for each time that story is posted. It's a troll that's been around since the beginning of the internet, with chain emails going around with something nearly identical to it. This is ten times worse though, because that picture is going to haunt my dreams and give me nightmares, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Good thing i dont have the same problem usually i just ignore it though, i dont think theres a way to make it not show, facebook is a fucking scam fest on regular citizens for capitalism, big waste of time if u ask me...

If you mouse over the top right corner of that story, you should get a little drop-down menu thing that lets you hide the story.
Not sure if it'll do it for all similar ones, though.

How and where did you see this? I have heard of these before, and I thought they died out about 3 months ago. I never saw one. But don't you have to be friends with someone to see that they posted this specific picture or link?

I hate these. There was one about a dog who someone shoved dynamite into his mouth before it went off and the front of his face blew off. Really, I never knew how many of my friends were incredibly stupid. Why would facebook give money to everyone who shares it?

they serve as a fairly good marker for which friends you should probably just remove.

Kinda reminds me of how shit loads of my friends fell for the IQ TEST which gave you a huge bill in the mail and kinda pointed fingers at others for being stupid, hilarious as I and a few others did not fell for it.

Get friends that are less stupid and you don't get that problem 
You can't really hide it untill you've already seen it unfortunately

The best solution (that I know of) to this sort of problem is to just hide the posts of that particular user. That way you don't have to remove them from your friends list, and you avoid having to see whatever bizarre thing they decide to share next. Besides, if you actually care to see what is going on in their life, you can still just manually go to their page. Unfortunately, as others have already said, I do not think there is a way to filter your feed in the way you want at this point in time.

Yeah. As a matter of fact, my brother just shared that pic yesterday - from a page called "Islam Daily". I immediately started searching for the scam and hopefully won't see that pic again in my circles. It really makes me sick to my stomach to know that some people will use the picture just to get some more views on their page.
