Thanks for this, it was extremely timely for the next winter quarter.

Personally though, one of the biggest problems I have is reading comprehension. Sometimes I will be reading and realize that I've been zoning out for the past 2 minutes, and I absorbed literally nothing from the text. Any tips on that?

Studying a week in advance is something that i have started doing, its deff one of the most helpful pieces of advice that i could give anyone and im glad you included it because it has improve my performance on exams

for my finals last semester i put off studying till the last day, then i just laddered sc2 instead, this guide should help a lot

I absolutely agree with everything. Those are things that I had an idea of, but having it laid down helps a lot for me to clear out the importance of each of those steps; I'll actually keep those in the back of my head throughout the semester. I really agree with everything you wrote. I just think you should have have reinforced a little two points:

1) Practicing a lot with exam-like material, exercising with care, and focusing on the what you have the most trouble with (sort of obvious, but...)
2) Motivation. Like everything in life motivation is actually one of the biggest players in studying. I don't think I'm really that smart but sometimes I get top notch grades, beating some guys I think are true geniuses, just by studying smartly and motivating myself. Gearing up for the challenge. If you're in college, you have to _love_ the academic challenges that you face to really thrive and just be actually more motivated by harder subjects, just because of the challenge. Those are my thoughts anyways.

great read! Except whenever I tell my parents I try to study realisticially, they think I'm just slacking off, but realistically speaking I can't do like 3 hours of homework a day, 1-1.5 2 hours MAX, but nothing more but they just don't understand
