TL has been kind of a roller coaster for me. I go on some days and see the most immaculate threads and learn a lot or laugh a lot or some times I go on and see the most ridiculous threads. Then there are the threads that are really predictable, by that I mean ones that you can guess all the responses to just by looking at the title. I have to admit there are times I am afraid to go on to TL because I know I'll see something ridiculous, but with out those ridiculous threads my favorite mod on TL wouldn't be there to pick me up when I'm down.

When I have a question I always search and see 5 or 6 threads closed. Out of curiosity I clicked on a thread one day to see why and read the last message and it was by Chill. I couldn't point out which thread it was because I've gone onto his post history just to see all the funny stuff he says.

I saw a thread title Nazi mods or something to that extent. The OP was nuked but I was really curious because it was closed by Chill and his comment was

"My homecoming was last year and it was glorious. PM me for corrections."

I want to know about why his homecoming was glorious and what it has to do with the blog.

A thread about Destiny being featured Chill says

"What purpose does this thread serve? If people don't want to get sniped they should search for a game while putting the stream to a different view to reduce the chances. If they surely don't want to get sniped, the should turn the stream off. This thread doesn't solve any problems and actually creates a few new ones."

And the comment above Chills by Kennigit was

"Stop making thris thread."

This one was simple but made me lol.

Lastly a post titled "Idra 1on 1 w/2: BW and SC2 elite players" was closed with the final comment being

"You can have three videos, that's up to you. But I won't allow you to have three threads."

Made me lol.

Thanks to all you TL mods that do a few things for me and a lot for the site including 1) making sure the site is operational 2) making sure people follow the 10 commandments and 3) making me lol when you close threads.

You guys are great! Chill is my fav though.

Edit: TL mods should stream modding, everyone would watch.

Well. I guess... To be completely fair... Chill was using Canadian Internet.

edit: I wasn't here when TL first started but there seems to have been a big comaraderie between some of the big names. Like you hear of them being in tournaments, and going to clubs in Korea. It feels like the mods all had this special connection.
I think in our modern age technology has evolved to become more addictive. The things that don't give us pleasure aren't used as much. Work was never meant to be fun, but doing it makes us happier in the long run.

I sat on Chill's lap during the May 2011 GSL finals. As the games went on and our attention wavered, the conversation turned to other matters - our pasts, our goals, our dreams. I learned that Chill could recite the entire work of 'Song of Myself' by Walt Whitman. As he spoke the poem, he did so with such energy and passion that I could feel him getting hard beneath my buttocks. At first I was shy and clenched tightly while listening to the words, like droplets of golden dew, drip from his lips. My confidence grew with with each passing line and it was not long before our eyes finally met. We looked into each other with an understanding that can only be achieved by occupying the same moment, the same breath, in the same sliver of time. In that moment we were one.

His homecoming was glorious because of two things: 1. The 60s was a crazy time back when his bones didn't ache and his joints didn't creak. He would groan only by the amount of women he would have to "take care of" in a night and because they would always want to be on top, despite the abstract reality that Chill was always on top of both his game, maintaining neutral facial expression and giving them what they want.

Oh and 2. because the joke "Chill, get out" is actually synonymous to his bachelor days where he'd "get out" of relationships, orgies, responsibilities of those unnamed children and possibility of his troubled childhood path that Matthew McConaughey probably imitated in one of his many movies that nobody can remember or watch (Ghost of Girlfriends Past is my guess).

His homecoming was an epiphany, originally just a wager amongst friends, but blossomed to something he could never foresee. It was glorious for all the right reasons, but wrong to his friends who poked their nose up at the very idea that a dirty blond and well-coiffed jock could even bother changing an unattractive dame (both physically and mentally). Alas he tried, he was no Richard Gere, but if Julia Roberts could lose weight for John Cusack, open up to Hugh Grant and forgive George Clooney, Chill could easily change this girl for the better...

And so he did, but not without a little help from his girl friends. A short dress, get rid of the glasses and condition the hair and she almost looks as good as Chill himself in the morning. He showed her how to be a proper stereotyped 90s women who "takes care of herself" by appearing presentable and she showed him various ways of expression that could be described as having sex vertically (but with your clothes on and with no risk of pregnancies).

The time of homecoming was near and she was to come in full glory and completely shaking off the stigma that plagues and pegs underage women into a depression and discouragement thinking looks has an importance in the workplace and even more importance within the social world and westernized culture. But she was coming with an accessory a bit larger than a corsage, a bit larger than a handbag or purse and a little bit bigger than a small dog or pet rat. She had a chaperone- no wait, Chill was more than this. Hands clasped into her's, his fingers weaved into her's and a genuine smile at both his accomplishment and his desire to be with her; publicly.

Not everyone agreed with this, his feminine Christmas past all lined up: "What are you doing?" "I thought you were with me?" "Does this dress make me look fat?" He shook his head in disappointment, turned around with his newly acquired trophy of his high-school years and slowly walked out. The girl, perplexed, inquired...

"Are we getting out?"

"Mm, yes, Chill gets out."

Nobody could possibly genuinely LIKE TeamLiquid, could they? No, every nice post is just submissive sycophantism.

When I first came to Teamliquid (a few months before joining), Chill was my least favorite mod for some reason. He really came off as douchebaggy to me. However, over time, his modding and posting style kind of grew on me, and the first time I saw Chill v. Combatex really sealed the deal for me.

Renamed to: Chill Appreciation Thread.

Chill had some awesome commentating with BW and was hugely entertaining in his guides and events. I don't really follow SC2 but I haven't seen him doing anything like that besides SC2 TL:Attack and TSL2. I'll settle for more presence on the forum.

Edit: Holy balls that was TSL3. I forgot we had two BW TSLs. So sick.

We looked into each other with an understanding that can only be achieved by occupying the same moment, the same breath, in the same sliver of time. In that moment we were one.

Now we just need DrH to read and record this
Chill is my favorite mod as well, despite his old, aching bones :D By the way, does anyone know if Weapon of Choice is coming back? There hasn't been a show in ages.

put this in your eardrums geekburgers

When I first came to Teamliquid (a few months before joining), Chill was my least favorite mod for some reason. He really came off as douchebaggy to me. However, over time, his modding and posting style kind of grew on me, and the first time I saw Chill v. Combatex really sealed the deal for me.

<3 Chill

if you're stupid he'll pound you into dust quickly i know that because i'm really stupid

Yet your name is Flaccid.
