Hi everbody,
I used to be a WarCraft3 player and shoutcaster and I want to start my own little SC2 Show right now. I've already got the equipment, started programming my own little website and everything is (almost) ready to go. Except: I need a good name! I have been thinking about a good name for months - literally - and i cant come up with something really kickass. Furthermore I am not able to decide between the ideas i already got. I am stuck at this and now i hope that you - the community - can help me out on this one!
About the Show:
I think it will be two (perhaps three) times a week. One day me laddering and analyzing my games and the other day me watching pro replays and try to learn from them. Perhaps the third part me coaching my girlfriend (as long as i can persuade her to do it - she's in silver and a huge MKP fan :-p) The show will be in German only at first but i plan to try out English at some point, too.
About the Name of the Show
So the Name should be good sounding/pronnouncable in both German and English. Also my own nick was "maiko" back in War3 times but to get a completely fresh start I want to get a new nickname and then add like "TV" or "Show" to it for the actual name of the Show.
Names i already come up with:
Arziak - ArziakTV
Swarm - SwarmTV (what Kerrigan would watch)
Peach - PeachTV (which is of course a tribute to FruitDealer!)
Arisol - ArisolTV (which is Losira backwards lol)
Flank - FlankTV
aClick - aClickTV
Geez - GeezTV
okiam - okiamTV
Loki - LokiTV
agameid - agamidTV
Bust-a-Move - Bust-a-Move-TV
Euphoric - EuphoricTV
As I can't manage to decide on a name I will accept whatever name you decide upon for me.

Don't do Loki, because 1 out of every 10 people I play against in SC2 are named Loki. Totally not unique.
For each of the other words, make sure you can explain why you chose it. I'm not a huge fan of you just taking a Zerg progamer's name (Losira, Dimaga, etc.) and reversing it. It should represent you, not someone else. That's my opinion, anyway.

EDIT: okiamTV isn't bad, since you were originally maiko ^^ As long as you pronounce it "oh-kee-am"

Ragequit is taken. Also, Geez is a like like Deez which in turn is a lot like Deezer.
Your show sounds a lot like "I'm going to stream myself laddering" in which case you'd fall under Players category and naming yourself xTV would be kind of silly.

Thanks for the feedback. I defenetly dont want to be assiciated with Deezer :-)
I will be not a lot of "stream myself laddering". I will be more about me improving on observing and casting and eventually casting some small cups afterwards. So the longterm goals are much more in the Caster/TV direction than in the (pro)gamer one.
And you are right Ragequit is taken i forgot to cross it out.

Really? I havent run in so many Lokis, yet. It's definitely not on the creative side of things, you are right!
Personally i like PeachTV better right now beacouse it is a strong one-syllable word and i prever those. And furthermore i can explain why i would take it because eversince i watched SC2 i was a huge fan of FruitDealer. Actually, when i rewatched some games from Open Season 1 together with my girlfriend some days ago (we watched the whole season live back then) some really intense memories came up and I feel like so much has happend since then although its only one year in the past.

You have no idea how much time i already spent on this >.<
I just want to get this decision out of the way so i can finally start off with the actual show.
This is also a huge part of why i have made this post. It is so hard for me to make a decision like that it's almost silly.
But i want to make this decision, till the end of the week. I will then just look here what is favored by you guys and that will be it!

Don't get this, really. You should really take a name that has a meaning for you somehow.
If you really get a good show going and sometime in the future, someone asks you how you got that name, do you wanna say "I made a threat on teamliquid"?

so you're going to make a show about you on the ladder and watching replays? I stream that pretty much every day under the headline "Master Zerg Ladder". Either i'm missing a huge marketing opportunity or youre overthinking it? Of course those are absolutes.
I'm a man of functionality, and the way you described things you want to setup a stream where you ladder and occasionally coach your girlfriend. IF it must be named, go with maikogoespro or something like that. Anything else just seems cumbersome to me.
Apart from that, know the subject matter makes the name, the name doesnt make the subject matter; and you can always revise your name.

Well i think that would be a quite fun story to tell. At least as good as "Well i looked at my desk and saw the kind of drink a had there right at the moment." :-)
Seriously, it isnt that bad. There are two reasons for me to make this post. 1. I cant come up with a name that I really like enough and i am only really creative when i communicate with people. Sadly, there are no people around me with whom I would be able so start a nice conversation with asking "Hey, whats a catchy name for a SC2 Web Show?" and 2. English isn't my first language so I wanted to know what native speakers associate with the names i already came up with. For example i already came up with FigTV as part of the whole fruit thing. Turned out that wasnt such a good idea, right :-)

No seriously: You might be right. I might be a little overthinking and cumbersome on this name-thing. But imho it is actually very bad to change the name after you got any kind of publicity and furthermore I am looking for possibilities to make the thing I plan to do recognizable between this huge masses of streams out there. Well it is in German. Furthermore I want to make it a Show with a clear start and end point, a clear "format" and a weekly airing time so that people can get used to the time to watch it live and can rewatch it via vod in a reasonable amount of time. And a nice name goes just in line with this, you know.

My favorite of the list is Bust-A-MoveTV hah, total props on that one. Lately I've been into Old Skool raps, here are some kickass artists names from that era (Edit: some are not exclusively artists names). You could draw some inspiration from, a lot are group names but if you did infact get your girl to participate then you could go for something similar:

Hey! Thanks a lot this is exactly what i am looking for here. Some inspiration from other subcultures i can relate to! When there would be another guy with me doing this wohle thing i would defenetly go with CCC or Cold Crush Crew :-D

Sorry thats not what i am looking for here. As stated in the op i want to have a new, short, strong nickname for myself and then add simply TV to it to get the name of the show. so "ComputerTimeStarcraft2Show" isnt exactly the kind of nickname i am looking for :-D
