(Mods sorry if this is considered advertising, close if you must)
Hey TL. So my sister and her boyfriend opened a dessert cafe in Pasadena, California about two months ago called D'odici. They both graduated from Art Center of Design so the whole place was designed by them, very artsy.
Our signature cakes are souffle cheesecakes, which are lighter, fluffier, and not as sweet as your traditional cheesecakes. We have different flavors such as blueberry, chocolate raisin, coconut mango, raspberry, and many more. Everything is made in-house!
We have espresso based coffee drinks, such as caramel latte, mocha, americano, etc. We also have our special drinks such as Orange Sunrise, which is a latte with a hint of orange. Our Fizz is sparkling water based with our in-house made syrups, such as Lavender Lemonade, which is kind of like Italian soda. We squeeze all the lemons ourselves!
If you live in the LA area please come try it out. We usually have free samples I work from 8am-12pm Mon-Friday except Wednesdays (we are closed on Wednesdays)
Here's our website in progress: http://www.dodici-desserts.com/

seems to look pretty nice. Maybe one day I will be in LA and then I will come visit if I will still remember it by then;)

I guess their design philosophy differs from their food philosophy; simplicity is best. That is many fonts, yes?
|
I'll check it out next time I'm in the area, so at least you've picked up one potential customer!
Congrats to both of them for graduating from Art Center. I have a few friends who attended there and they would pretty much disappear for weeks at a time due to the workload so I'm guessing it was pretty rigorous. Hope the place does well so they can pay off their ridiculously high tuition bills!

Who is this photographer? GReat shots, my God!
Should host a barcraft there :B

Oh wow it's adorable T_T I love the color scheme and simple design. If I'm ever in LA I most certainly will visit!

lol I noticed that too
It looks pretty good, but it seems like from reading some of the reviews that they only have the fluffy cheesecake stuff? No other deserts?

Sounds good, too bad I can't try it T_T

I love cafes like the one your sister has opened. Unfortunately for me there are very very few of them in my area. Good luck on your business!

Working in Glendale atm, so might have to check it out on these days

Oh my, how big are the milk glasses?
|
Do you use authentic raisins because I heard people don't use the legit stuff.

This all looks like a really nice place to sit down and read some magazine articles with a tiny plate of dessert on the side. Best of luck from New York and looking forward to drop by if I ever happened to be in the LA area ^^

Looks lovely. I'll remember the name for the next time I'm in Pasadena
