I was there! I was in the glasses and protoss shirt. I'm really happy I got to go see the Twitch.tv offices, meet Justin and White Ra and have beer with them!

I ♥ U White-Ra. You're probably my favorite protoss player in the game, just with your attitude to the game and how you go about respecting the other player.
And these pictures are really nice too, love this one especially

Any White-Ra pictures are great pictures! <3

I'm sorry, but it's not the latest craze,
I think what you're actually responding to is the massive increase in creativity and artistic activities among the population that has taken place over the last 40 years or so. Get on the internet for a minute and you'll see what I'm talking to. As an example, about 30 years ago, if you had video editing skills you would have been among a pretty small and fairly elite group of people. Now spend 5 minutes on Youtube, and you might not be blown away by the quality of work, but you'll note that millions of people now possess at least a basic knowledge of video editing. So what's happened here isn't really that filters are suddenly in style, being creative is the latest craze.
The reason you think filters are "The latest craze" is actually the result of increased capacity for creativity among the average person. You will see that people are no longer content with simply documenting a scene, they also would like to transcribe some of their emotions and personal experiences into the picture. Some choose to do this through the use of filters, and as an artist, I don't see anything wrong with that.
I guess I don't understand why you guys would express disdain over the photographer's use of filters, did you feel that WhiteRa being in Sepia tone took something away from your viewing experience?
