3. Your list is pretty ambitious but that seems to be how you travel. It's a good list and it depends what you want to do. You could spend a year in Seoul and still not really know it, but you won't get the same feeling as traveling the countryside, obviously. Personally, I would cut some of your stops. After seeing half a dozen temples, they are all the same. Personally I would even cut Gyeongju and stick to Seoul, Busan, countryside, but that's just me.

What you really should do: After your work is complete in Daegu skip everything and just go straight to Seoul and spend your whole time there. Use craigslist/facebook/whatever to find meetups with foreigners/koreans groups and make some friends or just randomly do it on your own. Or have some TL veterans hang out with you. So many places in Seoul to go and things to do.

Also if you have some $ to spend I'll give you connects/address at all my spots. Then you can experience true Korean culture ^_^

Haha, I always have fun when I travel alone. It's rarely hard to make friends. I'm down to meet up with anyone who a) is out of high school and b) can hold a non-StarCraft-related conversation. In this regard, BlizzCon was not encouraging. If you have bar/restaurant/people recommendations, let me know. It's looking like I'll arrive in Seoul on October 10. First four rounds of drinks are on me.

Don't look up Artosis
Edit: Added smily to indicate I'm joking.
Double Edit: Actually, I just remembered Artosis is like a human trivia game. It's surreal.

mm we are looking at renting out a villa in jeju and flying out there for a couple days, checking out the DMZ and going to that traditional korean temple/palace city(bulgooksa i think). besides that just Seoul. Want to go to Jeju? If our vacation gets extended we might fly to hong kong or tokyo as well.

Let me know soon Ill msg you our korean cellphone number we will obtain once we arrive at airport

P.S. not sure if you are into having drinks but we are bringing tons of imported stuff(cheaper here)... Grey goose, Crown, jacks and yes... 4 bottles of Dom Perignon to celebrate

Haha, I axed Jeju based on the user comments from this thread. Couples retreat ftl. My current plan is to get into Seoul in the 10th and get mrmin123 incoherently drunk for the fourth time. Does that leave you enough time in Jeju? Definitely PM me your Korean cell (when you get it).

I need Peter Pan too.

Sounds like we might have to do the Andy Etter Sexy Time Meet Up in Seoul. Here's the plan: anyone who is able to look in the mirror and say, "Yeah, I look fuckin' good" comes out and gets drunk. Min can come, too.

Don't even bother looking in the mirror. Just go and do it.
