If I ever get to meet you, I'll make sure to ask you to scribble something for me. ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)
Great write-up, by the way.

“Oh dear I just got Hot_Bid’d”
this sums it all up, really.

Thanks for telling your story about the behind the scenes work that you do and just the general small details that slip through the cracks. Really appreciate what you do for E-sports and SC2 in general, the players may be the most flashy, but its people like you and the MLG staff that are the backbone that let the tournaments run and allow everyone to have a good time.
Keep up the good work, but please take care of yourself, don't ever stress yourself out doing the best job you can for something you love~

Great write up, thinks for all the translations you did an amazing job ! :D
|
Haven't read it all yet but so far its all good :D Awesome SLayers jersey

I was cheering for you when you were doing the interpreting. I've had some experience in interpreting, although only in a classroom environment, but that at least helps me understand better how stressful it must have been to be out there. You coped really well, so bravo!

Yeah MVP said it: Confidence is key. You are beyond a capable translator and very articulate to boot, don't be so hard on yourself. That confident mentality can really help you perform better on stage but also to take care of yourself. You have to eat and sleep at something like that and if your feeling sure of yourself you will make time to do those things. Also it sounds like having a "god mother" like Jessica would help. Its so cute that she was cooking in the morning ^^
My favorite part about your story is all about the koreans interacting I would spend all my esports dollars to know what slayers and david kim spoke about. Or hear DRG say "nooooo not the 11 11 build!"
Thank you for your commitment and appreciation for this community. It wouldn't be the same without you.

Really awesome read. Boxing wanting to give idra a lesson for his mental game ... lol i almost died laughing. And all the cute behind the scene interactions between the players are super interesting to read. Keep it up man you are doing a greate job.
p.s. how could you pass up the drink from boxer? ^^

I come back from helping set up one of the matches and I find SlayerS talking with David Kim intensely and when security cleared away the fans David Kim came in (I didn’t recognize him at first). They had like a long conversation about balance, SlayerS and MVP. DRG came back from one of his games later and Jessica was like “Go away you’re not allowed to listen to this conversation” which was quite funny. Sadly I don’t remember the details of the conversations. Probably talking about white flame hellions in HoTS :x
edit: just finished reading. Awesome write up, Milkis! I wouldn't want any other person translating anything ever!

When Boxer also talked about the player he wanted to talk to the most, he started talking about Thorzain, about how he learns a lot from watching Thorzain’s replays and how he wanted to play him. He was sad that Thorzain wasn’t there.
I hope Thorzain is reading this. What an honor.

wow, huge honour for Thorzain from Boxer, and MVP has carpal tunnel? That's really really bad. Anyway, awesome right up.

Great write up.. I think everyone watching was emotionally drained after that Boxer/Rain match.. I thought you did exceptionally well.
|
Nice write up, keep up the good work!

I don't know why I'm smiling but nearly in tears with happiness for you at the same time.
Thank you for writing it up.

Great read as always.
Milkis, you're awesome and I'm glad you're part of this community. You have done so much for us fans so far, and I'm sure your hard work is appreciated. I'm glad you're getting the support you deserve.
All the best! And damn, that SlayerS jersey is so sexy!

Milkis you are what make Esports great. Without people like YOU, esports wouldnt happen. Its a true fact. You can only get so far with Pro players, people tend to forget all the work that goes on behind the scenes! I for one really enjoyed your two write ups of both Cbus and Anaheim!
When your memory have recovered (if ever :D) I'd like you to share just the general discussion with SlayerS and David Kim. Since they are a heavy terran team I fear for terran buffs / zerg, protoss nerfs.

Awesome write up! Really enjoyed it :D I wanna get YOUR autograph mate.

Great read, good job milkis
