I think it's finally come time to actually post some content on TL. My post history thus far has been limited to the General forum, keeping in line with being a very long time lurker. I love honking on some titties.
I attended days two and three of MLG Anaheim. Armed with a TL shirt and a DSLR, I took a ton of photographs. A link to the entire 334 photo set can be found here: Flickr
Please, be aware that there will obviously be spoilers in this photo gallery.
I was initially really awkward and reluctant to take many pictures at first, but after I had a small conversation with one of the real TL photogs (~"You have the shirt too, maybe you can be as well."), my confidence level grew and I ended up filling the entire 16 GB capacity of my memory card by the end of the finals on Sunday. Thanks to whoever you were, never got your name.
There were a lot of good moments at this MLG. Among them include:
Being two feet away from Boxer cheering him on along with the rest of the crowd during his victory over Cruncher.
Watching Gimix voluntarily tie up his extended series match with White-Ra in order to play him properly. Immediately followed by being able to witness White-Ra's warp prism special tactics in real life.
Watching the casting camera lag from the ridiculous amount of laser, rockets, and explosion sprites that dominated the screen during the decisive battle between Boxer and Rain.
Every single interaction I had with a progamer or community personality that weekend. Special thanks to Day[9], JP, Sheth, Tyler, Huk, TLO, and Jinro for signing my autograph book!
Seeing and taking pictures of all the wonderful cheerfuls and posters created by fans in the crowd.
Making my way to the front railing with the press corps for the finals victory celebration and trophy ceremony in order to take pictures.
Pretty much all of these pictures were taken with a Pentax K-r with a ~30 year old manual focus 50mm f/1.7 prime lens that cost me about twenty dollars. I'm pretty sure I was the only photographer at the event shooting Pentax, so if you saw that brand on a neck strap, that was me!

I still have ~600 more pictures to sort through. This set is just the ones that struck me as immediately being good. I'll either add to this blog or make another for the notable pictures that didn't make it here.
Hopefully most of those pictures aren't just noise from shooting at 7fps burst, haha.

Thanks! I'm not really a pro though, just a guy with a camera and a good lens.
I'd like to go to the rest of MLG this year, but they are all so far away. Maybe in the future once I have a job and can pay for travel like that I can take more pictures at events.
