What does TL recommend for some good plays? Golden suns, Dragon Quest, Shin Megami Tensei, Ace Attorney series, Radiant Dawn, 999, and Okamiden are what I have right now. edit: wish I had noted I own the actual world ends with you lol. I got everything recommended in the thread that I haven't played already, thanks everyone  | ||

Turn the voice to japanese and gl hf. Do not play with english voices, it will make you deaf. Puzzle games are awesome :3 If you're willing to sit through japanese menus then Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary works too. | ||

Ace Attorney is an obvious one but you already mentioned that. Mario Bros and Mario Kart are always good. Phantom Hourglass is pretty fun. Then Pokemon of course. I've mostly been using my DS to help me learn Japanese lately so I've been a bit clueless to new games. | ||

Final Fantasy 3/4 are all good. If you're into turn based strategy, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon or Final Fantasy Tactics A2 are good picks. There's Final Fantasy Revenant Wings if you want an RTS on the DS. Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks are a must. All I can think of for a game to wait for is Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2...  | ||

The World Ends With You or Hotel Dusk (and its sequal) I've played MANY DS games and I find thsee two the best. Phoenix Wright series is great too Dont have a DS anymore T_T | ||

 I heard Radiant Historia is good if you're the type to like old school RPGs like Chrono Trigger and such. I haven't got around to playing it yet though. It got a lot of high marks. As for other games, it depends on your style. Turn Based Strategy: Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising - I've played 300+ hours on this game over the course of 2 years. That's how good it is. It's a GBA game, and I found it to be the best in the Advance Wars/Super Famicom Wars series. If you enjoyed it, feel free to play the two DS ones. Music: Elite Beat Agents - Kinda like in the DDR/Guitar hero genre, but you touch the screen with the stylus. Racing: Mario Kart DS - Probably the best Mario Kart game in the whole series. Great multiplayer as well. Puzzle: Professor Layton - Basically a collection of random puzzles. It's a lot of fun if you want something with no action but a lot of thinking Scribblenauts - Definitely one of the funnest games on DS. Basically, you are given a simple scenario that you have to complete such as moving object A to point B, killing a certain creature, etc. The fun part is that you can do anything you like to complete it. You type in the name of an object and you get to use it. For example, let's say the mission tells me to kill a zombie. I can simply type in Tank, and run the zombie over. Or I can be more creative by getting a space shuttle, attaching it to the zombie with a tow rope, lifting it up and then dropping in onto spikes. There are tens of thousands of objects you can use, including memes like ceiling cat, or the large hadron collider. Adventure: 999 - Very suspenseful game with a great storyline RPG: Chrono Trigger - I only played the SNES version, but this is still one of my favorite rpgs. I enjoyed it almost as much as FF7 and The World Ends With You Will add more as I think of them | ||

pretty good, if a little bit uneven in the difficulty ramp. Pretty nice to fool around with if you don't mind a mildly awkward stylus interface. Also Tankbeat, fun, multitasking on both screens with stylus though :3 | ||

Dawn of Sorrow, awesome castlvania game. Beat it 20+ times, absolutely adored it, although i haven't played the other ones. Advance Wars Dual Strike, just playing it now but I'm having a lot of fun thus far. Awesome turn based strategy game. Chrono Trigger speaks for itself of course Mario Kart DS, I've played this DS game more than any other in my collection, never gets old. Easily 500+ hours of enjoyment. FFTA2 is fun if you're new to the genre, but to be honest it's shit compared to Tactics Ogre and FFT on the PSP(and psx). FFTA1 is a good pick up if you're not using a 3ds, i liked it a lot more than the 2 second version of it. I've never played The World Ends With You, so I can't comment on it =/ | ||

I loved Elite beat Agents too (funny rhythm game). If you like puzzle games, try "Prism : light the way". Simple and straightforward puzzle game based on light rays. Shin Megami Tensei : Devil Survivor was great too. | ||

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (GBA) and FFTA2 Grimoire of the Rift (DS) Mario Kart DS Fire Emblem (GBA), Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones (GBA) and to finish it off Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon (DS). Castlevania is also great on the DS, I'm playing through Portrait of Ruin, and while really odd (maybe I'm just not used to the series) it's intensely fun. Sonic Rush and Super Mario 64 DS should also rank highly on the buy list. It's kinda weird that this topic came up, I literally cracked out my DS for the first time in a year 3 days ago, and wouldn't be able to give as many answers if the games weren't splayed out in front of me right now. GODDAM IT I love handheld gaming, only problem is that it's taking away from my SC2 play time. Ah, decisions decisions. | ||

As far as games go I would recommend the Chrono Trigger DS port which is actually the PS1 version of chrono trigger without the horrible load times. Great benefit to this is that you get to see all the great cutscene movies done by the Akira Toriyama, creator of Dragonball and Dragonball Z. | ||
