This is gonna be a small venting thread but wow...I just finished reading a couple pages of responses from the Kosher/Halal thread and wow...just wow.....It was like watching a bunch of retards trying to hump a doorknob. I swear at least 60% of the replies didn't even belong there, just mindless dolts spewing stuff off a title line(im guilty of this occasionally too and maybe Im just seeing people who do it occasionally and not their quality posts.) but Iunno I just feel like the TL I lurked a few years ago comparatively to the TL of today is vastly different.
Don't get me wrong, I have no say at all what so ever in telling people to be better poster or be more respectful or you know actually link sources to these gigantic claims they're making(because it is the internet after all folks shouldn't be that hard.) I just wish more people would stop getting so ignorant and so hateful lol. I mean just read some of these comments.

For example the first post from an not to be named person: ("Animal wellfare.") Really? Really? You had to post what you voted without anything, not even 1 extra sentence on why you picked it. Just "Animal Welfare". Why? Don't you realize that on TL you should post with substance and not just something that you VOTED ON at the top of the thread? There are numerous examples of this across all forums and It really makes us look bad I believe.
I don't know if for sure there are still huge whining threads in the SC2 section but outside of some small tournament threads to check results and some different announcements I never click on the SC2 section. I won't sit there and read through 90 messages of crap just to get something worthwhile to read.
Don't even get me started with live report threads....guh I have only ~680 posts and yet Ive been on TL for over 3 years almost. Why? Because I try to not just randomly get my post count up and actually try to post things relevant to the discussion at hand after reading the op and some replies. I mean is it too much to ask for you to extrapolate on your thoughts intelligently as opposed to dropping 1 to 4 word lines to get a +1 post count...

Okay but seriously... i think its getting better. I always think back to that comic where the mods were in a buildling with guns fighting off the swarms of herpidy derpidy new people. (why cant i find it i wanna see it again.) Its slowly moving back to the way it used to be. People who don't rele care are stopping posting. and people who are retarded are banned. I believe teamliquid will survive and stabilize into something beautiful.

Lol I've been frequenting that thread myself. Some parts are actually intelligible. Idk, I just learned to skip the crap. I posted a few things of substance but they were too long I guess and no one read them.
The OP was quite terrible in my opinion. It was biased towards their view and didn't really seem informed on the "traditions" it was lambasting which were put in place for animal welfare. But anyway yea the posting on TL has gotten better. I myself am a bit of a newbie having only found TL for the Flash v Jaedong power outage game

If anything you should have let the mods handle it. I just find this topic ironic because I find the OP posting a vent/rant thread... about how people should be better posters! Creating a poor OP is worst than creating a poor post in my eyes. I disagree majorly with a lot of the sentiment in that thread, but it wasn't utterly terrible trash posting to me.
And even the mods post in live report threads. Guess what, live report threads are not only useful for people like me when we can't watch a stream, but it's a way to "cheer with your buddies" about what's going on, when you're sitting alone at your computer. I don't have anyone that watches MSL/OSL/GSL with me. And on the off occasion I do, I'm talking to them, not in the live report thread. But when I'm by myself, I'll make a post, and get "nerd chills" by reading everyone else's enthusiasm at what's going on. Nothing to do with post count, I couldn't care less.

I completely understand that but why not just join an IRC or the teamliquid web chat...or numerous other things so when stuff actually happens we don't get 4 pages of "gg wp, gg wp" and can actually read about the games developments themselves.
Also there is nothing wrong with my OP at all, I gave evidence, labeled it appropriately, and put it in the right section.

I simply don't like IRC, I've never been in it. The "GG" is the most exciting part, as well, I don't even understand how you can get upset over it.
And sorry about criticizing your OP, I didn't realize it was a blog. I thought you posted this in the general discussion, I rarely read blogs, not sure how I ended up here!

Its fine man no hard feeling or anything ^^ I can definitely understand not liking irc and the such, and I have no real beef with people like you who use the Live Thread for what its for, just sick of people spamming useless crap in LR threads. Well i tried looking for some examples but all I saw was goons+(and race equivalents) posting so maybe it has cleared itself up haha =D either way general is still invested heavily and to an extent so is SC2.

We can't join IRC for Live Reporting because sometimes there are multiple good tournaments or big SC2 and SC:BW events on at the same time. If you didn't catch the games, they have VODs and the occasional actual LR.
The thing I do hate is the people who complain about balance...fuck that.
edit: from just waking up, i managed to type a paragraph saying the same thing 3 times....condensed it lol
