Played about 50 games on my new coL account, and because I lost one of my placement matches do a gold leaguer proxy gating me I got placed in platinum. But I have great news!!! I JUST GOT PROMOTED!!! YESSSSSS.
THX Blizzard, 90% of my bonus pool is gone and it got me to rank 37 diamond league ! :D
( I am 44-7 and playing vs GM or high masters every game lol )

w00t got promoted to masters today with 1000 pts ~_~ only +800 to go for #1 NA masters ( my bonus pool is only 55 tho thx blizzard )

Look at it this way Drewbie, because of the way the system works you'll get placed in a masters league without any of the good masters players in it (because they're all placed already), and be rank 1 super fast.

It was Tasteless cheesing you out with the Tasteless build. He specifically made an account to just get to gold league and then match up with you and beat you ^^
Wherever you go you cannot hide from Tasteless. He will find you no matter where you run or hide
Or it was one of your teammates who did it LOL.

A lot of people are in a similar situation-- KawaiiRice's rank kept going down after each win against a GM (like +42 a game). Shouldn't be a problem as long as you're FACING people of comparable skill, right?

i went 5-0 and placed into plat, i dont think you can place higher than plat except for team games.

I'm 1k masters, I'll give you free lessons if you'd like. I know how hard it is to make the jump from Diamond->Master.

hmmmmm if you upload some replays we could give tips, now we have to stay really vague and general. I would say that you should pick one safe build order and stick with it. And remember, macro macro macro!

Think of it this way... it's a great way to get a superb W/L record!

You might think you can go pro with a 44-7 record and playing against GM players, but remember, there's tons of other people out there like you who think they can make it in ESPORTS, and for every one who goes pro successfully, there's tons who don't. My advice, don't quit your day job.
