I'm currently a Gold league Terran player. I have a dream of possibly one day being in Master's league. I can't win against a decent Zerg player. I don't why, I do alright sometimes against Terran and Protoss. I know that everyone says the best way to become better is to study replays and play a lot of games. I don't feel I'm the type of person that can learn this way. I understand the concept of breaking down what a player is doing, but is this really the best way for me to learn how to become better? I feel like if I had a person telling me, "you shouldn't do that because of this reasoning," then I would learn more from it. I don't know if people actually read these blogs, but basically what I'm getting at is there is a Master's league, Terran player out there that will help me?

Get a coach thats what they are for! Or Get a buddy to look over your replays of games you thought you should have won and tell you. Your gonna have to do some work if you want to get promoted it seems like a lot of time and effort but that or studying replays of pro's is how it is done or just playing a lot of games and learning over time and experience; CHOOSE YOUR FATE

There are certain standards in TvZ you can apply to your game. Pick a straightforward build that is not cheesy and complicated. Use VODs or replays from pro gamers as a reference for this build. Start using the build and practice it on the ladder. Just practicing one build will get you a long way.

For games that you lose using your standard build where you are not sure why you lost or what you could have done better, open a [H] thread in the Strat forum. Make sure to read the guidelines though to ensure a proper thread so people can help you.

I'm not terran player, but I can say with some confidence that if you 2rax pressure and expand behind it you put yourself in a fantastic position to beat zergs of all levels. Just afk marines and you should win with good macro tbh... atleast until you play better people.

I guess I understand that watching replays and playing a lot of games is the only way to become better. I'm just in a rut, i guess you could say, because I can't stand losing. It's a little overwhelming when you don't really understand the game fully and you just keep losing. I feel like winning when you know you are bad only reinforces your bad play. Maybe I'm being too over critical.

You're not being too critical. You are infact bad. But this should just be motivation to improve. Take some time to try to understand the game, There's a teamliquid channel you can join ingame and often times there are people to help you, people to play with, and games to obs. I suggest checking this out.
